Tóquio｜Tour de Experiência de Kendo / Samurai - SAMURAI TRIP

素晴らしい経験で、剣道についてとてもよく知ることができました！とても楽しかったです！ただし、身体活動なので、体力的な運動に備えてください。

I went with my brother and we were joined by 4 other groups for a total of around 13 people. I learned a lot about kendo and appreciated it even more after the 2 hour session. We had drills with senseis who are university athletes and also had a chance to spar with each other. If I had stayed in Tokyo I would have pursued kendo lessons! It’s truly a great introduction to kendo.

This was a great experience. My friend and I went from "knowing nothing" to immediately battling each other for rounds. The instructor was knowledgeable, and the dojo was nice. We looked good in the gear they provided us. My friend and I set up cameras to record some of the action. We did stretching, drills, and bouts. I highly recommend.

This experience was a blast. Our Kendo sensei and his students taught us a lot and made the 2 hour session very entertaining.

My son and I decided to take a kendo class on the last day of our trip to Japan as we had not practiced Kendo for a few years. We thought that an introductory class would be a good way to tip our toes back in before starting again in Australia. Nagamatsu-sensei was extremely proficient, professional and entertaining and very quickly was able to communicate the basics of Kendo to the other students who had never practised Kendo before. In the meantime he allowed my son and I to practice at a different level. Unfortunately, I had an unfortunate mishap at the end of the class (no fault of anyone else) which necessitated being sent off to a Japanese clinic. Sensei was extremely considerate and organised the Cab and gave instructions as to where to take us. A great experience nonetheless.

Gran diversión con un poco de aprendizaje. Fui con mis dos hijos de 17 y 15 años y nos encantó. No sabíamos qué esperar, pero nuestro instructor nos mantuvo involucrados y nos encontramos disfrutando cada minuto. Definitivamente lo recomendaría a cualquiera que quiera probar algo diferente.

It was an interesting and fun experience for our family. The sessions were not difficult (we range in age from late forties to ten years old) but quite in-depth on kendo strokes and included a short lesson on kendo history and concepts. We had great fun and exercise! The instructors were very patient and added a lot of fun.

My son and I did this Kendo Samurai session and it was amazing. The sensei was great giving few historical explanations and teaching the basics. The exercises and sparring were super fun.

We loved the Kendo experience. Although the instructor did not speak English, we were able to easily participate in the lesson. It was memorable and fun.

The Kendo Experience was exciting and energetic. The instructor was excellent, encouraging and funy. He always reminded us about the safety rules and he made sure that the equipment were properly worn. This was one of our GREAT experiences here in Tokyo.
