They were efficient when dressing me. I looked and felt so beautiful. I had a few people tell me I was beautiful as I walked around. One woman asked if she could take a picture with me, when I replied yes, she was surprised and said, "Oh you're American!" I am 1/2 Okinawan!

It's about a 12-minute walk from Makishi Station towards Makishi Market. If you're shy about walking around Kokusai Street in Ryukyuan attire and taking photos, I recommend choosing the 15-minute in-store dressing and photo session. If you don't mind the attention you'll get after changing, then you must try the 3-hour option. Unfortunately, my companion was shy this time, so we only went for lunch, took a few photos, and then changed back into our clothes. The two female staff members who greeted us were very gentle and explained everything clearly (even though I couldn't understand them ^¥^). The auntie taking photos was also quite skilled. Finally, when they are about to remove your hair accessories, you can ask to keep your hairstyle.

The entrance wasn't hard to find; following Google Maps made it very easy. After going up to the second floor, it felt like "small but perfectly formed" – the styles and colors weren't overwhelmingly numerous, but definitely enough to give me decision paralysis, as everything looked so good. In the end, I asked the shop assistant to help me choose what she thought would look great, and even when styling my hair, I asked her to pick out hair accessories for me 🥹. They were all very kind, and one of the assistants spoke excellent Chinese, so communication was no problem. After three hours of walking around, we received countless compliments. The Japanese people were incredibly generous with their emotional support; many photos were taken by passersby who offered to help us, and some even took pictures of us directly! 😆 It was a truly worthwhile and delightful experience!!

The Ryukyu costume experience in Okinawa this time was truly wonderful! The staff were incredibly kind, helping me choose suitable styles and colors, and even meticulously assisting with photos. The costumes were of excellent quality, full of traditional details, and wearing them immediately immersed me in the Ryukyu atmosphere. The photo location was beautiful, and every single photo turned out stunning! The entire experience was relaxed and enjoyable. I highly recommend it to friends who want to experience Okinawan culture; it's definitely worth coming again!

The shop is located inside Makishi Market. You can go from the 1st-floor entrance up the stairs to the 2nd-floor shop and just show your reservation confirmation. After taking off your shoes at the shop entrance, you need to put them in a plastic bag. You'll also be given a large bag for your personal belongings (and a numbered wristband to wear). Any food or drinks should be placed separately on a small table inside the door. You really need to remember to look after your belongings, because I forgot the Chinsuko I bought at Shuri Castle in the shop and didn't take it with me. By the time I remembered, it was the next day, and it was Sunday, the shop's day off, so I had to give it to the shop (cries). This shop is very popular. I arrived on time for my reservation, and there were already at least 4 to 5 mainland Chinese girls getting dressed or queuing. It took about 30 to 40 minutes before it was my turn. I recommend booking the earliest slot if possible, so you don't have to queue, and the outer and inner garments you want to wear won't be picked by others! The shop staff are very friendly and kind. Even though they are extremely busy, they will communicate with you patiently about what hairstyle you want and what belt style you'd like. They will also help take photos when they are free after finishing their tasks. Makeup is not included, but hairstyle and dressing are (you can choose between kimono or Ryukyu traditional clothing). Two-toed socks are provided. For the Ryukyu traditional clothing, you choose the outer and inner garments separately. You change out of your own clothes in a small changing room, put on the flesh-colored bodysuit provided by the shop, and then queue up for your hairstyle and dressing. You can also choose your own hair accessories. Finally, after taking all the photos you want and taking off the Ryukyu traditional clothing, you don't have to undo your hairstyle. The shop will even give you a small hair tie (you choose the design). This was truly a very interesting experience, highly recommended~

A clothing event worth experiencing! The shop was easy to find, the service was excellent and very attentive. They actively helped with clothing coordination and even took many photos for us using the shop's backdrops before we returned the clothes! Finally, we also received a souvenir hair accessory!

The shop is on the second floor and easy to find. The service attitude is excellent, providing great emotional value! 😍 My hair was styled perfectly!! I really didn't want to undo it 😭😭 I'd love to come back again next time. The weather wasn't great this time.

The ladies at the renting shop were all friendly and helpful! Within 30 minutes I was able to select, change and complete my hairdo (this service is included in the price for 3 hours) and took several pictures in their tiny indoor studio. The hair accessories and Japanese bag were all provided, the package is so inclusive for this price! I will definitely return to try a different colour 💕
