Our Chinese tour guide, Xiao Zhou, is from Northeast China and is very warm and kind. As it was off-season travel, the overall pace of the trip was just right. The driver was a kind-faced Japanese gentleman. In early October, Shikisai no Oka didn't have lavender, but the rolling flower fields combined with the clear weather were still quite stunning. Furano Farm was slightly less impressive without lavender, but it had many lavender-related souvenirs. On the way back, the guide mentioned that winter in Hokkaido has unpredictable traffic due to snow, with long traffic jams, tired drivers, and a higher risk of accidents. As I prefer a more traditional Chinese approach to health, sitting for long periods isn't ideal. I hope the company can pay more attention to the issue of fatigue driving among older drivers and their physical and mental well-being. Out of the 11 people on the day trip, I was the only one from mainland China, which was similar to my trip to Kyushu in May. Everyone else was young.

Our tour guide, Hanah, was really nice. Although it wasn't lavender season, we still saw many other beautiful flowers! The bus was really nice and cozy, and even played soft Studio Ghibli background music throughout the ride. It was a wonderful adventure!

We had great weather that day, with clear blue skies and white clouds, and colorful flowers. Although there were many tourists arriving at the same time, it didn't affect the quality of the visit. We recommend purchasing a tour package that includes meals.

Combined with a smooth itinerary and beautiful scenery, this trip is highly recommended!

In summer, Hokkaido's Furano and Biei are adorned with vast fields of lavender and vibrant flowers. The blue sky and white clouds reflect off golden wheat fields and lush green hills, creating a picturesque and refreshing scene.
