Cua Van Floating Village

A great trip! From pickup at hotel, transfer to the ferry to Cat Ba Island. Our guide met us and took us to our boat…comfortable accommodation…well fed…Our guide, Thii, was well informed and provided us with great information as well as support for all the activities and places that we visited. Quite an ethical and environmentally catered tour! Extraordinary scenery! Thank you!

I booked the tour the afternoon before, and the order was confirmed that evening, with the meeting point sent to my email. I was staying in Cat Ba Town, so it was a five-minute walk to the meeting point the next morning. First, guests were picked up from their hotels one by one, and then we went to the pier to board the cruise ship. The first stop was a village tour, which included free fish pedicures and bicycle rides, with about an hour of free time. After being picked up by an electric car, we returned to the cruise ship. The second stop was for swimming; guests could freely go into the water, or just relax on the cruise ship if they didn't want to swim. Then came lunch, which was a buffet with fresh and delicious food! After lunch, we returned to the port to drop off the half-day guests and pick up a new group for the afternoon half-day tour. We then continued out to sea, and the third activity was tandem kayaking, which lasted about 40 minutes. There were almost no waves, so it was very safe. Back on the cruise ship, we sailed a bit further to the afternoon swimming spot. Guests could freely choose whether to go into the sea; those who didn't could enjoy afternoon tea on the cruise ship, with complimentary tea and fruit. After a short break, the cruise ship slowly made its way back to the port. The guide arranged shuttle buses to drop guests back at their hotels, stop by stop. The full-day tour was very rich in activities, yet very leisurely.

The trip was great and a lot of fun! The crew was super nice and our guide was very friendly, funny, and always told us exciting things about the area. On board, we were only with one other family, so we could really enjoy the peace and quiet.

It was a truly amazing experience; everything was perfect, and our guide, Mr. Happy, made my trip unforgettable. He was very involved and passionate about the places and stories, ensuring that everyone was "happy" and felt great. I truly recommend it; the places were also stunningly beautiful, clean, and peaceful – well worth seeing. Thank you, Happy, one more time!

It was a very good day. The tour guide who picked us up in Hanoi was very responsible and reliable. He was worried we wouldn't find the place, so he specially came to pick us up on his motorbike. The tour guide on Cat Ba Island, Happy, was excellent, providing service with a smile throughout and patiently teaching every tourist how to use a kayak, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The itinerary was well-arranged, balanced between activity and relaxation, very fulfilling but not overly tiring. There was no push for shopping during the entire trip. We hope that Mandarin explanations can be provided in the future, as the all-English explanations are a bit challenging for Chinese tourists.

Tuyệt vời. Khách sạn tốt nhất tôi từng ở tại Việt Nam cho đến nay. Có tiếng ồn từ karaoke nhưng hầu hết những người tôi nói chuyện từ các khách sạn khác đều nói điều tương tự. Hoài rất tốt bụng khi đưa ra các gợi ý nhà hàng cho tôi.

It was definitely an experience! We were a group of 9, and since the cruise only has 4 rooms, we were the only ones. The complete itinerary was really well-planned. From cycling in Cat Ba to kayaking in the bay and then stargazing in the clearest sky, each was a unique and beautiful experience. The first lunch we had was really great; even the vegetarians felt it was some of the best vegetarian food they had in Vietnam. The rooms and the entire deck, in general, were really well-maintained. The only things to consider are that the food is limited and subject to individual taste. Also, it's better to keep cash, although they agreed for us to pay by card once we returned, but it was a bit of a time-consuming process. I would definitely recommend Lan Ha Bay/Cat Ba Island as it was peaceful, not very crowded, and the activities and sights were amazing!
