Reasons for choosing Lan Ha Bay: 1. We wanted to avoid the grotto tours included in Ha Long Bay day trips, as we had already seen many similar landscapes in southwestern China. 2. We wanted to allocate a higher budget for meals. 3. We were interested in the pristine village environment of Cat Ba Island. After the actual experience, all these expectations were met, and the overall experience even exceeded them. The variety of seafood meals on board depended on what ingredients were available in the market that day. Unfortunately, in November, we could only find squid and shrimp, which are available year-round, and the selection was far less abundant than during peak season. Nevertheless, the meals were still very delicious and diverse. Our guide for this trip, Billy, was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He gave us a very comprehensive introduction to Vietnam's modern history and recent developments. His English was clear, accurate, and adhered to international etiquette, which left a deep impression on me. If I have the opportunity in the future, I would consider staying overnight on Cat Ba Island.

It was a very good experience for me, I think I made the best decision to choose Lan Ha Bay with Serenity. They have a good boat, good services, good itineraries, and our tour guide Billy is so responsive and amiable. I'd recommend you if you want to visit Lan Ha Bay, yeah choose Serenity💕

The itinerary for the one-day trip was well-planned and executed by our guide, Binh. There were multiple transfers, by bus, ferry, and then bus again, before boarding the cruise. Lunch followed soon after, and the spread was delightful, with many choices from meat to seafood to vegetarian options. After lunch, we headed to Viet Hai village for cycling. Don't worry if you can't cycle, as there was also an electric car to ferry you around. After cycling, there was kayaking, a cruise slide, and jumping into the water. We saw huge jellyfish in the waters, but it didn't seem to bother anyone. The trip ended with fruits, tea cake, biscuits, and tea before returning to Hanoi on the same route. Please note that towels are provided, and there were 4 WCs/changing rooms on board. Drinks are chargeable but at a reasonable price. Binh was clear and fluent in his guiding, providing a history of Vietnam and clear instructions throughout the day.

Chúng tôi may mắn có được thời tiết thuận lợi trong chuyến đi này. Trời có mưa một chút nhưng chúng tôi thực sự rất thích các hoạt động, đặc biệt là chuyến tham quan làng Việt Hải và chèo thuyền kayak. Thật tuyệt vời khi được nghe những câu chuyện và một chút lịch sử về các địa điểm, vì vậy tôi thực sự đánh giá cao nỗ lực của hướng dẫn viên du lịch của chúng tôi, ông Bình, trong việc giải thích mọi nơi. The full day tour was well planned and managed by the serenity team. Right from reaching out to us a day prior to help us with all the information required for the tour. Special shout-out to our guide Mr. Billy! who made it all happen within a days time without any of us having to feel rushed. Billy catered to the group's needs and ensured a continuous interaction informing about the history of Vietnam especially lan ha bay and cat ba islands. The cruise staff were polite and always ready to help with any specific needs(meal options etc). Would recommend choosing the lan ha bay tour with serenity cruises if you are not planning an overnight stay at Cat ba island.

Overall, we were satisfied with the tour. It was just a little more troublesome to transfer from Hanoi to Cat Ba Island and then take another bus ride. The tour guide was very good and attentive as well. I totally recommend it.

Superb place with absolute calm and peace. If you are planning to experience Halong Bay, it is best to visit the sister islands of Halong, which are Lan Ha Bay and Cat Ba Islands. They are very less crowded, and you can spend more time with nature.

Fantastisk tur til Cat Ba-øerne / Lan Ha-bugten. Vores guide, Mr. Billy / Bing, var virkelig vidunderlig, og han forklarede den historiske kontekst, de naturlige landskaber og befolkningens liv ganske godt! Como nuestro tour cayó en un día festivo y las filas del ferry eran extremadamente largas, él arregló que tomáramos el teleférico sin costo adicional, ¡un detalle muy considerado! El tour de un día por la Bahía de Lan Ha y la Isla Cat Ba es una alternativa tranquila y pintoresca a la Bahía de Ha Long, menos concurrida pero igualmente impresionante.
