Nikko Prefecture, 2.5 hours from Tokyo, indeed boasts extraordinary natural beauty. Our family of four, including two parents using wheelchairs, decided to go there by renting a car. Booking via Klook was very easy, but we only received the driver's/travel agency's phone number 24 hours beforehand. This was quite inconvenient considering we had to adjust our itinerary due to our parents using wheelchairs, and we needed to know if those places were wheelchair accessible. And it turned out they were! Only Kendo Falls had many stairs to reach, but Lake Chuzenji and Ryuzu Cascades were very easily accessible for wheelchairs. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery. However, the road descending the mountain was very winding, so those who easily get motion sickness might feel dizzy and nauseous. Our driver, Vikey, was very friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the journey. As a bonus, even though we traveled during spring, the temperature in Nikko was close to 2°C, and it even snowed when we arrived there.
