The Mutianyu Great Wall & Gubei Water Town day tour was an incredible experience and one of the highlights of our Beijing trip. Mutianyu Great Wall was absolutely stunning. The scenery was breathtaking and the restored sections made it comfortable to walk while still feeling the grandeur of the historic wall. Taking the cable car up & tobaggan down made the experience even more enjoyable and gave us amazing views of the mountains. Gubei Water Town was equally impressive with its charming canals, traditional architecture, and beautiful night scenery. The town is very well preserved and gives you a wonderful sense of old northern Chinese water towns. However, the area is huge with the famous Simatai Great Wall located there. A single day tour felt a little rushed, so if time allows, I would highly recommend staying another day to slowly explore the town, enjoy the night lights, and take a ride up to Simatai Great Wall.

Esta fue mi primera vez en China y estoy muy contenta de haber reservado este tour. Mi guía, Miko 🇨🇳, y nuestro conductor hicieron que toda la experiencia fuera fácil y agradable. Miko incluso me envió un mensaje antes de que se confirmara mi reserva, lo que me dio tranquilidad. The trip with guide Ian was fulfilling and fun. Since it was the Labor Day holiday, the bus was completely full, and there were many Korean groups. He explained in English and Chinese, so I concentrated as if taking a listening test and studied history. If you come to Beijing, you must take the Gubei Water Town tour. It's truly incredibly vast, unique, and every place is a photo opportunity. I was also surprised by how massive the Great Wall was when we went up by cable car. I was worried that I would only see the backs of people's heads due to the Labor Day holiday, but perhaps because it was raining and cold, there were actually very few people, which was even better. It's a place you can fully enjoy even without a Korean guide.

Gubei Water Town is a beautifully designed, man-made town that perfectly captures the feel of ancient China. While not all stalls were open during my visit, the experience was still memorable. The Night Great Wall is spectacular, offering a stunning view of Gubei illuminated below. To top it off, the hot springs are clean and refreshing. Tour Guide (GuoJia) is friendly and helpful.

A very good tour to visit the Great Wall almost alone. If you have enough time for a day trip, it's definitely worth it. Since it's currently offseason (November), various tours were combined, so we had to wait about two hours for the departure before the end. However, there was Starbucks and Pizza Hut. I would recommend the tour.

Un grand bravo à notre incroyable guide touristique Christina ! La visite était incroyable, nous avons eu les informations de base et de bons conseils avant d'explorer la ville et le mur. L'emplacement était parfait, pas du tout bondé. Christina a été d'une grande aide, en fournissant toutes les informations et l'aide nécessaires - vraiment exceptionnelle !
