Passeios por Mutianyu Great Wall

Flower is a very patient and good tour guide and gives very detailed explanations of both the East and West Sides of Mutianyu. We spent about 1 hour and 15 minutes on the East Side from Tower 6 to 4 and back to Tower 6 (including the chairlift up, queues were shorter around 9:30 AM on a weekday, and toboggan down). We spent 2 hours and 30 minutes on the West Side going up and down from Tower 14 to 20 and back to Tower 14 (each way took about 53 minutes, including a lot of photo taking). The cable car only took 3-4 minutes maximum. We then returned to the restaurant for a 30-minute lunch, just in time before departing at 2 PM+.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience on our group tour to the Great Wall and the Summer Palace. Everything was very well organized, and the entire day felt smooth and enjoyable. Our guide, Richard, was excellent. He shared so many fascinating details about Chinese history, culture, and the significance of the places we visited. His knowledge and enthusiasm made the tour even more special and engaging. He was also very friendly, patient, and happy to answer all our questions. Our time on the Great Wall was truly unforgettable – walking along such an iconic and historic place was an incredible experience. The Summer Palace was equally beautiful and impressive, with its stunning architecture and peaceful atmosphere. We truly enjoyed every moment of this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Beijing. We can’t wait to come back and do another tour in the future!

It was a full day tour visiting the Great Wall and different places. We visited a less crowded section of the Great Wall, which gave us extra time to explore. Our guide, Jessie, communicated very well in both Chinese and English, and helped us with everything we needed. She also provided clear guidelines for the trip and was knowledgeable about the notable places we visited. It was a fun-filled and informative trip!

The driver contacted me the day before to confirm the trip. Pickup was prompt. The car was comfortable and clean. The driver was friendly and updated us on the journey, as well as introducing us to more places to visit. It was about a 1.5-hour ride to Mutianyu – still crowded, but definitely less so than Badaling. Then another 40-minute ride to the Water Great Wall (Huanghuacheng), built next to a dam. The park was deserted (fewer than 10 people – wonderful for photos). I can revisit HHC in the summer when the boat rides and high elements (flying fox, etc.) are open.

Jessica took great care of us. The journey was very convenient. After getting off at Dongzhimen subway station, Exit B1, there will be someone wearing a red Mu bus vest waiting. There's also a food court and a mini-mart in the building where you can buy snacks and food for breakfast. On the way back, Jessica will meet us around 3 PM at the Mu bus Family lounge in front of the entrance to take us to the bus, and will drop us off at the same spot as in the morning. The trip is very easy and convenient. You can buy buffet tickets, cable car tickets, and other extras directly on the bus.

The tour was excellent in every respect, a 10/10. The guide was impeccable. Selina was professional and knowledgeable about the history of the monuments. Selina took care of every detail of the tour. We made the most of it, which was perfect for us. The tour program was fantastic, even excellent. Lunch was very tasty with a wide selection of dishes and a sweet dessert. In the morning we visited the Forbidden City and in the afternoon we visited the Great Wall, watching the sunset from the Wall, which gave us the opportunity to take photos in the beautiful evening light. I highly recommend this tour.

Mutianyu Great Wall day trip was absolutely perfect, all thanks to our amazing guide Cindy! We met at Dongsi Subway Station Exit B as planned which is very convenient next to McDonald. The journey to the wall was smooth and enjoyable with Cindy sharing fascinating stories about the Great Wall’s history. The weather couldn’t have been better—sunny skies and crisp air made the views of the 5,400-meter-long wall even more breathtaking. Best of all, there were barely any crowds, letting us fully soak in the serenity of the ancient watchtowers and rolling mountain vistas without distractions. Cindy was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, pointing out unique spots like E4 tower -the lowest point Zheng Guan Tai and giving great tips for photos. She never rushed us, making the experience relaxed and memorable. If you’re looking for a stress-free, crowd-free Great Wall tour, I highly recommend Cindy—she turned a wonderful attraction into an unforgettable adventure!Excellent Day!
