I couldn't have picked a better spot than Orsay to wrap up my birthday money trip! After traveling and celebrating, this was the absolute "cherry on top" experience I was looking for. I climbed with my 60-year-old mother this year. Since we had a hotel nearby, after watching the sunset over the Parisian cityscape, we saw the Champagne Flash from the Arc de Triomphe. As it was summer, we climbed after 9 PM and the Champagne Flash started at 10 PM. There were quite a few people waiting to see the Champagne Flash from the Arc de Triomphe, so if you're aiming for it, I recommend climbing at least 30 minutes beforehand! There's a good shop in the lower chapel. There's a steep, spiral staircase of about 50 steps to get up to the main chapel.

When I rode the Big Bus, there wasn't a separate place to scan the barcode. Even when I showed it to the staff, they just told me to get on. This can be a bit inconvenient when taking the River Cruise, as there's no ticket to exchange. So, with the help of the cruise staff, we searched the Big Bus website, entered our reservation number, and were issued a ticketing barcode for the cruise, which allowed us to board smoothly. We took the Big Bus, took photos at the Arc de Triomphe, ate and played on the Champs-Élysées, and then, as it got late, we walked to the River Cruise. Have a pleasant trip!
