Le temps en Normandie est capricieux et il faisait maussade lors de notre visite. Néanmoins, le Mont Saint-Michel était magnifique et valait le détour. Bien que le trajet de 4 heures aller simple ait été long, le voyage était confortable avec une pause toilettes entre les deux. Les deux guides ont fourni d'excellentes informations et ont été très serviables. Le restaurant recommandé pour le déjeuner était également bon.

The place is spectacular, especially if you like old castles and an old-world atmosphere. The transfer was a hassle, though, not due to the tour company but because of the Mont St Michel tourism transfer itself. We were unlucky that one of the trams was broken, and it was pouring rain, so we had to wait at least 30 minutes in the rain (with no shelter). This meant we had to rush lunch to be able to go to the abbey. We didn't have the chance to do the audio guide because we needed to head back for the bus to Paris. Overall, though, the tour itself was great, and the tour guides were relaxed and very helpful. The bus was clean and comfortable, had a toilet inside, USB chargers, and reclining seats.

It is a very worthwhile attraction to visit. The monastery is magnificent. Sitting in the church, although there are many tourists, I feel very peaceful in my heart. C'était une belle façon de voir quelques-uns des petits villages de la région. La parfumerie n'était pas très intéressante et il y avait peu d'histoire à raconter pendant la visite. La confiserie était beaucoup plus intéressante et délicieuse. J'aurais aimé avoir un peu plus de temps dans quelques-uns des villages et il n'y avait pas de véritable arrêt pour le déjeuner, mais les villages n'avaient pas vraiment de restaurants non plus, juste des cafés. La fin a également semblé un peu précipitée, car il semblait que le guide voulait nous déposer pour essayer d'éviter les embouteillages. Dans l'ensemble, ce n'était pas mal.

Mont Saint-Michel, located very far from Paris, is convenient to visit by tour. The round trip takes about 4-5 hours by car, with a stop at a rest area where you can use the restroom and buy food. We arrived at Mont Saint-Michel around 12 PM and had to return to the parking lot for pickup at 4:15 PM. From the parking lot to Mont Saint-Michel, you need to take a shuttle bus. On the way back, there was a long queue, with buses arriving every 5 minutes. It's recommended to allow 20-30 minutes for queuing and waiting for the bus. The scenery at Mont Saint-Michel is incredibly beautiful, and the observation deck at the very top offers panoramic views. However, on the return journey, our tour bus broke down midway, and we had to wait in a park for the tour company to make arrangements. The tour company's arrangements were very poor; we waited a full 4 hours for another tour bus to pick us up and take us back to Paris. We didn't get back to Paris until 2:15 AM local time. Our request for a full refund ultimately resulted in only a small amount being returned. This was a very bad experience.
