The driver was nice and on time. The driving was also smooth. The Onsen was fantastic, the highlight of my trip this time. It was snowing and I could enjoy the hot spring while it snowed. Awesome! Would recommend it.
Nakamura-san is very accommodating. The trip was smooth and the onsen was super relaxing! You should definitely try this!
Both the hot spring itself and the driver who transported us on the land journey provided an excellent experience. We booked a five-day itinerary through this platform, and so far, after three days, all transfers have been very smooth. Although the local Japanese service staff all speak Japanese and their English might not be very good, making communication not very fluid, their attitude is excellent. We can generally understand each other through gestures, which is very considerate and accommodating. As for the hot spring itself, it's truly wonderful. It's not large in scale, quite small, but the open-air hot spring offers a fantastic experience, especially soaking in it amidst heavy snowfall and using snow to scrub your back. This was my first time experiencing something like that, and it left a very deep impression.
On the third day of our trip, the Otaru one-day bus tour was suddenly canceled, so we quickly decided to go to Hoheikyo Onsen for a hot spring experience. When I arrived at the pickup location 10 minutes before the pickup time, the taxi driver was holding a sign with my name on it, so I easily got into the pickup taxi, and it was nice to see the snow on the way. The hot springs were, of course, really good, and the curry and bread sold at the restaurant there were truly delicious. They were so good that I even ordered extra bread, so you must try them. Everything was great, but the only downside was that the 2-hour stay at the hot springs felt a bit short. It would have been nice to stay all day. However, the hot spring experience was wonderful.
A fantastic experience! The driver was incredibly kind and professional, helping us get settled at the onsen counter before leaving. The hot springs were so relaxing, and the snowy scenery from the outdoor baths was absolutely stunning. I truly loved it here!
Sapporo Hoheikyo Onsen Experience (with private transfer), highly recommended. Private transfer directly from your hotel to the onsen ♨️
First, let's talk about the transportation. The package includes round-trip transfers, and the drivers are all local gentlemen from Sapporo, Japan. They are older, very polite, and punctual. Next, regarding the hot spring, although it's small, it's very unique, especially the outdoor bath. We visited in February, and it had snowed heavily the day before. It was still snowing when we went the next day, but it was truly comfortable. Soaking in the 40-degree outdoor hot spring, you can easily grab some fresh snow to rub on your back or arms. It felt incredibly refreshing and was a fantastic experience.
The taxi driver who took me to the hot springs was so kind and wonderful. I think we talked the whole two hours there and back. I've been to expensive hot springs in Yufuin and Hakone, but I think Hoheikyo Onsen was the best today. Bathing in the open-air hot spring with snow falling in winter was a truly unique experience. I bathed for an hour and ate curry at the restaurant for an hour, which felt like the perfect amount of time. I was surprised by how huge the naan served with the curry was. It tasted good, and I ate until I was full.
The trip went smoothly, the driver contacted us on time for pickup, which was very convenient and clear. It was a special hot spring experience with charming scenery, a wonderful itinerary arrangement for a family outing.
This is considered a good onsen, with great weather and atmosphere. There are restaurants and BBQ places. Overall, it's worth visiting again.
