After breakfast yesterday, I went diving 🤿. Last September, I got my Open Water Diver certification at Ri Ri Diving in Penghu. This time, I came to Lombok, Indonesia, specifically to dive in the Gili Islands to the north. Since I'm not very experienced and didn't know how to get there, I booked a solo discovery dive (including transfers) through Klook. I don't have a dive buddy, so I paid a higher fee for one-on-one instruction. I think this is very safe and allows me to see a lot. The Indonesian operator we partnered with was "Scuba Froggy." There were three groups of guests on the boat: a group of four Europeans who were more experienced divers with one dive guide, a couple from Guangzhou, China, who were snorkeling, and myself as a single group. Additionally, there were three crew members on board: the captain and service staff. We did three dives. On the first dive, I saw sharks, large and small sea turtles, many fish, and corals. The second dive, I saw some fish, corals, and sea turtles. The third dive, I saw many fish and corals on a shipwreck, as well as lobsters 🦞 and sea turtles. It was a lot of fun. They meticulously taught me how to put on and take off the gear, providing excellent service. They also provided a waterproof box for personal belongings. We stayed on the boat all day without going ashore. Lunch was a bento box 🍱 eaten on the boat, with rice, noodles, and many side dishes. There was no toilet available. I forgot to bring my contact lenses and camera equipment, so after getting into the water, all the beautiful marine life I saw had a hazy beauty. Because I was scared, I held onto the dive guide many times. Next time, I'll bring contact lenses, camera equipment, and add a dive watch, shoes, and gloves. I hope to become more proficient and be able to swim more independently. I'll challenge diving again in the future 🤿. I think for my physical strength, one day of diving per trip is enough. Many foreigners dive for many consecutive days with complete equipment, but I can't do that 👐. I'm just happy to have had the experience. After returning to the hotel to shower and use the restroom, I went for a massage and then ate at a beautiful restaurant.
