The voucher exchange process was quick and easy; I just showed the voucher to the officer near the ticket sales. Baluarte de San Diego is a historical site in Intramuros, one of the oldest stone fortresses in the Philippines, built in the late 16th century. It was originally a circular fort called Fort Nuestra Señora de Guia. This place has become a symbol of Manila's resilience as it has survived wars, earthquakes, and subsequent recoveries.

I was encouraged by the guard to continue rather than back out because of the weather conditions. I still made it happen despite the bad weather. No worries. Visiting this place made my day, but it would have been more enjoyable if the weather had been fine.

Un jardín pequeño y asombroso ubicado dentro de las históricas murallas de la Vieja Manila. Muy tranquilo y agradable si necesitas un poco de tiempo lejos de toda la gente en los otros sitios de la ciudad antigua.

After buying the ticket, the attendant at the gate informed me that it was a ticket for Fort Santiago, not Santiago Castle. However, she still allowed me to enter Santiago Castle, but I would need to buy a separate ticket to enter the fort. The prices are the same, and they look very similar, so I honestly can't tell the difference.
