Passeio de Bambike em Intramuros

Excellent tour! Our guide, Christian, was extremely passionate about the history of Intramuros and shared many stories with us. She took very good care of us and was one of the best tour guides we have ever had! We covered all the historical sites and there was even a support assistant to help with the traffic. The tour included a drink midway, ice cream and a cold towel at the end, so well thought out! Highly recommended!

El personal nos ayudó a conseguir la bicicleta que preferíamos y ajustó los asientos según nuestra preferencia. Mientras recorríamos Intramuros, también nos acompañó otro miembro del personal que nos ayudó deteniendo los coches al pasar por las intersecciones y se aseguró de que nadie se quedara atrás. Ya habíamos planeado hacer un tour por Intramuros, ¡pero gracias a Dios que elegimos hacerlo en bicicleta! Moverse por Intramuros en bicicleta es muy útil. No puedo imaginar ir a todos los sitios puramente caminando. Nuestro guía turístico, Kuya Paulo, habla claramente y nos muestra fotos para que apreciemos mejor la historia detrás. También es muy útil para tomarnos fotos. ¡¡Fotos muy bien tomadas!! El tour terminó con refrescantes toallas frías y helado de nuestro sabor preferido. Por cierto, ¡¡el sabor AGUACATE es taaaaan bueno! Sabe a aguacate de verdad 💚

Highly recommend. What a fantastic experience. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and to take a big group around Intramuros and relay the history of each section of the tour was amazing. In retrospect, we should have booked the full 3 hour tour. But the express tour is excellent to do with young children. Such a great way to explore Intramuros. The bikes are also such a great sustainable initiative. I wish I could purchase one to bring home to Australia.

Paolo was amazing! Funny! Informative! It was a great experience and we enjoyed learning about the history of Intramuros. Easy bike ride and felt very safe with all the scooters and cars. Highly recommend.

What a joy it was to discover Intramuros through Bambike. I picked the extended tour and it was a perfect way to explore as the distance between the spots are a little far to walk. Being on the bike made it both efficient and breezy. Samantha was my guide for the day and she had so much knowledge at each spot - along with fun facts that really made each stop a lot more memorable as sometimes they aren't very interesting to look at per se. She also brought along a folio of pictures that really help contextualised the entire experience with references to timelines and examples. While there are a few traffic crossings that are busier, Samantha always made sure that my safety was a priority and used hand signals to convey any directional change. Finishing the tour with some local ice-cream and ice cold towel was so refreshing. The bike looked a little kooky but worked really smoothly. All the staff are friendly, warm, and helpful. Top notch initiative!

Thank you so much for a great tour, Sir JayR! I didn't know how to bike, but they let me practice for about 30 minutes. My Dad was with me on the trip and knows how to ride a bike. They offered us a bike with two seats, so I rode on my Dad's back. I was so happy with the information we gained on that trip. I was looking forward to the Fort Santiago Dungeons, and there were pictures and descriptions presented. I was able to witness the actual height of Dr. Jose Rizal, our national hero, and learn about his contributions and what the Spaniards did to him in Intramuros with this tour. The free ice cream was so creamy! And I got the chance to taste all the flavors, like 1 teaspoon and 1 scoop of ice cream for myself. The Ube was my favorite, but I chose Avocado flavor ice cream. We chose the Intramuros Tour, which is a relaxing and fun option compared to walking, as it was a long distance. The inside of the Manila Cathedral was breathtaking with its structure. We got to know some fun facts and information about the Spanish, Chinese, and American influences in Intramuros on this trip. I must say to invest in this trip if you want to experience a fun, memorable, and educational event in your life. 🥰

Located within the Intramuros Walled City, inside the San Agustin Church, though not directly opposite but on the side. It's not hard to find because there are many people. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and you can quickly get assistance. You can also choose your favorite bamboo bicycle from three available options. If you have a bag, you don't need to worry as there are bicycles with baskets. There's also a restroom available in the shop, so no need to worry about finding one. The tour started on time, and my guide, Chi, was very friendly and professional. Although his explanations were a bit fast, they were very clear, and he was happy to answer questions about anything I didn't understand, or Spanish and Tagalog terms. Everything from Casa Manila to the many attractions within the Walled City was explained in great detail and clarity. By understanding the history and past development, my connection with Manila entered a deeper emotional level. There was a stop at the Bayleaf Hotel rooftop to enjoy the sunset, along with a refreshing drink – it was absolutely fantastic! All the staff were very kind and friendly. I highly recommend taking the sunset tour; you definitely won't regret it!

We love our tour guide! Bambike Tour has been an enjoyable experience for us. A fun and very engaging trip that supports eco-tourism and sustainability with the company’s mission and goals. We were stuck in traffic due to severe flooding and heavy rainfall on the way, so we had to adjust to a night tour instead of an express tour. They were kind enough to wait for us, as it was really difficult to make it on time. We had a great tour guide (she’s an OJT); she made sure we were safe and comfortable during the rides. A proper orientation was given, and specific questions were asked to ensure all of us knew how to ride a bike. My brother and I rode a bamboo bicycle with a seater so that I could tag along (I don’t know how to ride a bike; so I just “angkas”). I highly recommend this experience for all ages, as it is perfectly tailored to travelers who prefer to learn more history while engaging in a fun activity tour. Would love to do this again next year!

The tour takes you to the important places around Intramuros. If I had taken this on foot it would have been very tiring but exploring with bicycle is fun and less tiring. There are cycling paths and the guide will help with traffic so it's quite safe.

The most captivating aspect of this journey is that we weren't riding cold, metallic bikes, but rather eco-friendly bamboo bicycles, handcrafted by local artisans, possessing a warm and natural feel. For families with a 10-year-old child, this isn't just a physical activity; it's a culturally enriching and educational experience. Our tour today was led by Josh. Although our English proficiency was limited, allowing us to understand only about 30-40%, Josh's professionalism and enthusiasm transcended the language barrier. He meticulously guided us through time with vivid gestures, historical photos he carried, and even simple, easy-to-understand keywords. From the splendor of the Spanish colonial era and the weighty history of Fort Santiago to the scars left by World War II, Josh's explanations were layered and insightful, giving us a fresh perspective on the history and culture of this ancient city. Even with incomplete language comprehension, we could feel his deep love for this land. Riding bikes with a 10-year-old child through Manila's busy streets was initially my biggest concern. However, the tour arrangements were surprisingly comprehensive. Throughout the entire journey, in addition to our guide Josh, there was another crucial person—ChiChi. ChiChi was responsible for weaving through the group, and whenever we reached an intersection or a crowded section with people and vehicles, he would immediately block oncoming traffic and professionally signal us forward. With ChiChi silently protecting us, we didn't have to worry about chaotic traffic at all, and our child could focus on the beautiful historical sites before us, riding with complete peace of mind. This "double protection" service model is an incredible bonus for family travelers! The most heartwarming surprise during the trip was meeting two fellow Taiwanese travelers in our group. Although we didn't get a chance to ask for their names during the hurried itinerary, their helpfulness made us feel incredibly welcome. Because our English wasn't fluent, we sometimes looked confused when Josh explained some more profound historical backgrounds or architectural details. These two Taiwanese compatriots noticed our need and proactively helped us translate some key content during breaks, and assisted us in asking the guide a few small questions about the attractions. Hearing a familiar accent in a foreign land and receiving such immediate help truly touched us deeply.
