We were 30 minutes late for our booking, but no questions were asked. They seated us immediately upon seeing our reservation. The table was ready for us, and we were served almost instantly. The view from the Skyline Teahouse was superb; we had a front-row view of both A-Mei and the mountains and sea. We were taught how to drink our tea and were also served snacks. The only complaint was that there were too few peanuts.
We had a 5:00 PM reservation and used the service with our family of three. We sat on the terrace next to the entrance. Although the temperature was 30 degrees Celsius that day, the breeze was pleasant, and the view was superb. About an hour later, we ordered our meal separately and enjoyed the scenery from dusk until the night view. I believe it was the owner who offered to take our picture as we were leaving. We were also very grateful that he went out of his way to find us when we realized we had forgotten our parasol. Among our memories of Taiwan, Jiufen and the kindness of this owner stand out the most. When we visit again, booking here is a must!!!
This is a teahouse located across from the A-Mei Teahouse. We were able to get a good seat on the balcony. While gazing at the illuminated A-Mei Teahouse, we were able to slowly rest our tired bodies until it was time for our transfer. We recommend making a reservation for a time before sunset.
We were given a terrace seat right at the entrance of the tea house "Haiyue Tower Tea House." We enjoyed authentic tea and light meals. Although it was unfortunately cloudy, we were able to relax for a while, enjoying the magnificent view of Jiufen and the A-Mei Tea House (A-Mei Tea Pub) next door. It seems difficult to get a reservation, so I'm glad we booked in advance. It's a place I'd like to visit again.
景色優美,值得一遊茶館,找個好位置拍照。
We had a reservation for the 26th, but it was suddenly canceled on the morning of the 23rd due to exceeding the capacity. I was very surprised because we were departing on the 25th, and it was even a weekend, but the customer service representative responded immediately, and we were able to successfully change our reservation. Klook is the best!! When we arrived at the destination, Jiufen was truly a 'hell-fen' (a play on words meaning 'hellish Jiufen'). There were so many people, but the inside of the teahouse was quiet, which was nice. The teahouse was run by elderly people, and even though I arrived an hour earlier than my reserved time, they let me in after I showed them my voucher! Other people next to me arrived later than their reservation time, but they were still let in, so it seems that as long as you have a reservation, you can enter! The staff were also kind, and the inside of the teahouse was very pleasant and clean. The view was truly beautiful. I wondered if it was a bit expensive (the tea and refreshments were just... don't expect too much), but I highly recommend it because I was able to comfortably enjoy the scenery of Jiufen. I went with my parents, and even though they were struggling with the crowds in Jiufen, they were completely satisfied at the teahouse! I highly recommend it :D
10/10 would recommend this tea experience! My partner and I were lucky enough to be seated at the patio area right beside the entrance of the teahouse, and we had a nice unblocked view of A-Mei Teahouse. We had a great time relaxing while sipping tea, and admiring the view as we watched it turn from day till night. The teahouse staff gave us an initial demonstration on how to prepare the tea and an informative guide in several translated languages were also provided for non-locals. You are welcome to stay as long as you like (we stayed for almost 4h!) and you can request for the leftover tea leaves + tea snacks to be vacuum sealed to take away if you cannot finish them. The teahouse staff also gave us a complimentary postcard of Skyline Teahouse. We ordered some light bites and they were pretty tasty as well 😊 By the way the place is not hard to find, but it may be a little hard to identify as their signage is in Chinese. Just take note that it is right opposite the entrance to A-Mei Teahouse!
It seems like it will remain a good memory for a long time. The tea was excellent, and the scenery was breathtaking. I enjoyed the luxury of sipping tea while looking down at the Jiufen Old Street, bathed in the red glow of lanterns, much like drinking coffee while gazing at the illuminated Eiffel Tower. As I was pushed along by the crowd, descending the stairs, I got a bit confused about the location. It's opposite A-Mei Tea House. They face each other with the stairs in between, but it's easy to miss as there's no English sign. If you come via the commercial street, it's on the left; if you come through the residential area, it's on the right. It's the house above "A City of Sadness." There are many people trying to take photos in front of the shop. If you push through them and go inside, they'll check your reservation at the entrance and let you in. I showed them my voucher saved in Apple Wallet, but they looked puzzled, so I opened the Klook app and showed them, and they immediately let me in and gave us a terrace seat. They also guided us to the terrace near the entrance specifically for taking photos. The photo I uploaded is of the 4-person set. Once you're seated, they explain how to brew and drink the tea. You just follow their instructions. Oolong tea and three accompanying snacks were served. The black, round ones are peanuts, which are savory and delicious. I even bought more the next day when I went to Tamsui. Pickled plums and dried fruits (I'm not entirely sure, but they sell similar fruits in the market) were also served. Perhaps because I had pushed through the noisy streets to get there, sitting in the teahouse made the outside noise feel distant. The dark town visible in the distance and the sea of red lanterns before my eyes shimmered beautifully. Feel comfort and happiness with a warm cup of tea. I thought to myself, this is why I travel. The photo showing the full view of Haiyuelou Teahouse was taken the next morning.
I made a reservation for 5:00 PM, hoping to view Jiufen during magic hour from a high vantage point. When I mentioned my reservation, they led me to the terrace. Although it was raining, the rain added to the magical atmosphere. I enjoyed the dried guava and preserved plums, while my husband liked the peanuts. We communicated through gestures, and they even taught us how to brew oolong tea. The location was superb, making it a wonderful experience.
