Purchasing through Klook gave us a 5% discount, and we received the voucher quickly. There was no need to exchange for a physical ticket; we just scanned the QR code directly at the gate, which was very convenient. We visited Zermatt in mid-June and had fantastic weather. From the Gornergrat observation deck, we could see the Matterhorn and glaciers up close. On the way back, we hiked directly to RiRotenhoden, where we had lunch at a high vantage point, gazing at the Matterhorn and Lake Riffelsee. After taking photos, we continued to the next stop, Riffelberg (but remember to take the longer path for the best experience). The scenery along this route is beautiful, and hiking with the Matterhorn in view the whole time was incredibly enjoyable 😃. It was an even better and more scenic walk than hiking from the observation deck to Lake Riffelsee. Therefore, I recommend hiking down two stops from the Gornergrat observation deck. However, when visiting the Swiss mountains, waterproof jackets and waterproof hiking shoes are essential.

We went during the high season in August. Arriving at Zermatt station at 6:40 AM allowed us to catch the first train at 7 AM, and all six of us were able to comfortably secure seats on the right side. The observation deck wasn't overly crowded with tourists, so we could take as many photos as we wanted. The souvenir shop at the observation deck opened at 9 AM; the cute Gornergrat-exclusive T-shirts were low in stock for sizes M and L, but we managed to get some. On the way back, we hiked from Rotenboden to Riffelberg. The weather was good, and we could see the inverted Matterhorn. While it's not impossible to do in sneakers, there are rocky and sloped paths, so trekking shoes would be preferable. It was cold at the top, but as we descended, it became scorching hot due to a heatwave, so a packable inner down jacket was essential. I even took off my Heattech inner layer at Riffelberg.

Basta usare il codice QR di Klook per entrare, che meraviglioso viaggio estivo al Gornergrat a 3.088 metri sul livello del mare. Ricordati di fermarti in alcune delle fermate per ammirare le meravigliose viste sulle Alpi svizzere mentre scendi dalla montagna, Rotenboden merita una visita, basta usare lo stesso codice QR per entrare e uscire di nuovo dal treno del Gornergrat.

Matterhorn valió la pena, la vista era espectacular. Muy conveniente, solo escanear el código QR en el cupón y se puede acceder a todas las estaciones sin problemas. El precio era más bajo que en el sitio web oficial. Sin embargo, Klook necesita aclarar con Gornergrat el tema de los asientos prioritarios. El código QR del cupón no pudo pasar por la máquina de asientos prioritarios. Además, los asientos prioritarios no estaban indicados en el cupón y el personal en el lugar confirmó que el código QR no daba prioridad para los asientos. Tuvimos que esperar en la fila junto con otros pasajeros y, por suerte, aún pudimos conseguir asientos en el lado derecho.

smooth process, just screenshot the qr code sent by klook, and then upon arrival at the railway station, redeem at the machine, the official ticket will come out. Scan the ticket when you go in or out from each stop. It is not really a priority pass, as when the train comes, everyone will just go in. Official price is CHF 66 with swiss travel pass. But klook is much cheaper with discount voucher

I used it in early September. I checked the weather forecast and booked through Klook the day before. I received the QR code immediately after booking, which was very smooth. I arrived at Zermatt station around 6:30 AM, intending to catch the first train of the morning, but it wasn't open yet. It opened around 6:40 AM, and I was able to catch the 7:00 AM train. Since there's no seat reservation, I lined up early and was able to get a seat on the right side, where the Matterhorn is visible. The return train was relatively empty. For those planning to use the first train in the morning, I recommend checking the station's opening hours for peace of mind.

Es ist großartig, ein Gornergrat-Ticket zu kaufen, um Ihren Platz zu buchen, da es eine Stornierung bis 24 Stunden vor dem Besuchstag ermöglicht, falls das Wetter nicht gut ist. Auf dem Gornergrat können Sie verschiedene Ansichten des Matterhorns sehen und an jeder Haltestelle einmal ein- und aussteigen. Sie können auch von einer Haltestelle zur nächsten wandern. Die Matterhorn-Landschaft ist unvergesslich. Ich hoffe, im Winter wiederzukommen.

What a memorable experience! Totally worth it. We got lucky we booked it on a day that we were able to see the beauty of Mt Zermatt. Amazing views on our way to Gornergrat! Enjoyable train ride and great spots to take a picture and collect amazing memories while in Zermatt! Just a heads up, the train staff told us our vouchers didn’t come with Priority Boarding, but I got refunded by Klook the Priority Boarding price that we paid (7 CHF each) by contacting Klook. Highly recommend you book this amazing Gornergrat ticket.
