This is a small, cozy museum nestled by the forest. Unlike large museums, you can enjoy the exhibits in a calm and relaxed atmosphere. Monet's famous work, "Impression, Sunrise," was on loan as of October 1, 2024. There's a security check at the entrance. The first floor features splendid furnishings, the basement floor displays Monet's works, and the second floor houses religious paintings, among other things. The interior of the museum, designed like a mansion, was also very appealing. I also recommend taking a leisurely stroll along the nearby forest path.

Calmo, discreto e bem cuidado, mas não lotado, este museu contrasta com o compromisso exigido para o frenético Louvre e a agitação do D'Orsay. 1,5 a 2 horas são suficientes para apreciar a coleção de Monets e a exposição temporária. Although "Impression, Sunrise" was not on loan, it was great to see so many Impressionist exhibits. While not as extensive as the Musée de l'Orangerie, there were also Water Lilies on display. I think visiting the Musée d'Orsay in conjunction would allow for many interesting comparisons.
