We were very lucky with the weather. The views are amazing and it's a good price if you want to avoid the hassle of doing DIY. My mom and I were the only English-speaking part of the group, but we didn't feel lost. Our guide was accommodating and gave us adequate time for pictures, especially in Kamikochi. The hotel is also a plus. It gives off a cozy winter cabin vibe, and even if it was summer, it felt like a different season there – with the old Winter Olympics memorabilia on the walls. I especially liked the free onsen and the buffet with local specialties. It's delicious and refreshing after a day of hiking. This is one of, if not, my favorite group tours in Japan.
family of 2 adults & 1 toddler, we booked our Japan trip mainly for this and i must say, it’s worth it! we met up in JR Station Nagoya, the sign/flag tho is a bit small and if you’re not paying attention, you might miss it. Our bus had technical issue and had to transfer bus and got us delayed for more than an hour but no worries as we still enjoyed and had enough time to explore Kamikochi. i’m very happy we got to stay at Green Plaza Hotel, i was really eyeing for this resort. i saw some reviews that they stayed at a different hotel. altho i wish we couldve stayed longer there. place is really nice and food selection from buffet is really good. on day 2, we had enough time to explore tateyama. kudos to our guide because our group was always first in line and all transfers were smooth and hassle free. if theres one thing i would suggest, offer lunch box as there are limited options and too many tourist lining up to get food from few restaurants. but overall, will recommend this tour!
I was with guide Kaku. I was the only Korean, and Kaku separately communicated and guided me in English. He also conveyed information in Korean via KakaoTalk, so there were no problems at all during the two-day tour. The guide fee includes all transportation costs for the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route tour and one night's hotel accommodation. The Kamikochi tour was conducted on the first day, and the weather was excellent, allowing for a great experience. The hotel includes both dinner and breakfast the next day, with a variety of delicious dishes prepared in a buffet style. The Alpine Route tour provided more free time for sightseeing than I expected, and the flow of the tour was very smooth. Originally, I had planned to do the Alpine Route tour through another platform in South Korea, but this tour felt more attractive and professional in terms of price. If there are any Koreans considering this tour, I highly recommend it. I am grateful to have beautifully concluded my last trip to Nagoya! I would like to thank tour guide Kaku once again.
I highly recommend this two-day tour. My family and I were very satisfied. Our tour guide, Xiao Xi, was very professional and articulate. He explained all the important details clearly, was happy to introduce attractions and local delicacies, and even helped us take several group photos. We are truly grateful to him and the driver for giving us such a wonderful trip. The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route itinerary was packed, requiring us to take six different modes of transportation. There were many people on the mountain, but the guide managed the time perfectly, ensuring a smooth flow, and we had enough time at each attraction. Kamikochi on the first day was beautiful; walking from Taisho Pond to Kappa Bridge was an easy stroll with a gentle breeze and stunning scenery. The hotel we stayed at in Hakuba Village was Mominoki Hotel, which was incredibly beautiful. The hotel was formerly a venue for hosting athletes during the Olympics. Although the building has a lot of history, the lobby and rooms were very clean, and there was also a hot spring. We soaked once in the evening and once in the morning, feeling warm and comfortable all over. After soaking, having a glass of iced milk was very enjoyable. The dinner included in the itinerary was a buffet at the hotel, with a rich variety of dishes. The sashimi and scallops were fresh, and the steak was delicious. The waitstaff were very international. Breakfast was also a buffet, but due to the schedule for Tateyama Kurobe, we only had 20 minutes to eat, which was a bit of a shame because the food was good but we didn't have time to savor it. The grand snow scenery of Tateyama Kurobe was incredibly beautiful and spectacular. The snow walls were very cool and definitely worth seeing once. However, I miscalculated and thought it would be very cold, but it was actually quite warm; only a light jacket was needed (date: May 22, 2025). Both Kamikochi and Tateyama Kurobe are quite far, so the overall travel time by bus was long, but we stopped at rest areas every 1-2 hours. The seats in the mini-bus were not very spacious, which was a bit challenging. In summary, I highly recommend this tour. It's easy and requires no planning; just follow the guide to conquer two famous Nagoya attractions.
The two-day, one-night itinerary was incredibly rich. On the first day, we visited Kamikochi, with ample time to explore attractions like Kappa Bridge and Taisho Pond. Our hotel for the night was in Hakuba, a place where athletes stayed during the 1998 Winter Olympics. The hotel's layout had a charming European vintage feel, and a buffet dinner was provided in the evening. We gathered early the next day, eager to reach Tateyama Kurobe. The weather was beautiful, with bright sunshine, and all modes of transport ran smoothly, allowing us to clearly admire the snow walls, Kurobe Dam, and other scenic views, and we even encountered a sea of clouds! Our leader was also very thoughtful, sending text messages to inform us of meeting times, and the driver's handling was steady. Initially, I thought over three thousand yuan seemed a bit expensive, but after the trip, I realized it was excellent value for money!
A highly recommended trip! 💞 We were lucky to have a very experienced driver and a warm, thoughtful, and meticulous tour guide, Miss Yanzi 🌻. The only slight regret was that due to heavy rain, Kamikochi was closed, and the tour guide received instructions to change the itinerary en route. We diverted to Takayama City and Shirakawa-go. Although we had visited these places two days prior, since it was with a different guide, the recommended photo spots were also different, allowing for a more in-depth exploration ☺️. The timing for Tateyama Kurobe was very tight, and our guide repeatedly reminded us to be punctual. The entire group was very cooperative, so the journey was completed smoothly and was very enjoyable. The snow walls might not have been as high as in previous years, but they were still breathtaking. The scenery was beautiful and well worth a visit. Special thanks to our tour guide, Miss Yanzi, for making this trip so joyful! 😆
great tour! Ricky our tour guide is very caring! He speaks English & Mandarin fluently! i will book klook again on our future trips! thank you Klook! 5 star!
素晴らしいツアーでした。ガイドがすべてのチケットの手配を手伝ってくれたので、手間いらずのツアーでした。上高地は美しく、アルペンルートは間違いなく訪れる価値があります。
The itinerary was very rich, but due to heavy rain, we couldn't go to Snow Valley, which was a pity. The tour guide did their best throughout, looking after dozens of people alone. The hot spring hotel and buffet (first day dinner + second day breakfast) were also good. On the way back to Nagoya, the bus was stranded at a rest stop for 6 hours due to heavy rain. I suggest your company could think of more solutions, such as taking guests to a nearby railway and compensating them for using other transportation methods to return to their destination. I understand that safety is paramount, but more solutions could be considered. Overall, if the weather is good, the entire trip offers great value for money and is a highly recommended activity.
