It was delicious, the best sukiyaki I've ever had. The Japanese wagyu beef was of excellent quality; the waitress lightly cooked it, and it melted in my mouth with an amazing aroma. I accidentally finished the entire bowl of rice. Each slice was larger than my palm. We received full-service throughout, so we didn't have to do anything. The private room seating was also fantastic.
とても素敵な食事でした。少し量が少ないように感じましたが、すべてのコースを終えたら満腹になりました。
The Yamagata beef was incredibly delicious, tender yet still firm. The Japanese service was very traditional. For dessert, we had an extra-large strawberry of the Kotoka variety from Nara, which was truly the best strawberry I've ever tasted in my life!
Most of the servers here are middle-aged or older, but their service attitude is genuinely excellent. The wagyu beef is delicious and tastes fantastic. I will definitely come again next time ❤️
It was really delicious... I've been missing the wagyu every day since I got back. The platform is reliable; we went up the stairs on time after arriving, and an old man was holding a reservation list. If you don't speak Japanese, just point to your name, and someone will lead you to a private room. The wagyu was so good... fatty and fragrant. Just like it said online, a staff member cooks one slice (including side dishes) and places it in your bowl. You eat one bowl like this, with a total of three thick, long slices of wagyu, so it's done three times. The service was great, haha. I don't understand Japanese, so I used a translator for the server, and she patiently explained everything to me.
I ate truly high-quality Wagyu beef; the staff was very kind, and the atmosphere was reminiscent of traditional Japan.
The Wagyu beef is delicious and not too salty. Although there aren't many dishes, it's completely satisfying, especially the dessert after the meal, which was surprisingly a super large Koto Hime strawberry. It was very tasty 😋
Table service is provided, and the staff use translation software to communicate, so there are no communication barriers. The sukiyaki beef is absolutely delicious, and we also ordered an extra steak on the spot. Highly recommended!
Even if two people have private rooms and staff to handle the cooking, you can simply relax and enjoy your meal. The portions are generally sufficient for two people, but if it's not enough or you'd like to add sake, you can purchase additional items at your own expense.
A slightly disappointing meal; I actually found the Hiyama in Hong Kong to be better. 1. The food quality was okay, but the Hong Kong branch offers a much richer variety of accompanying dishes, including appetizers and desserts. In Hong Kong, the cooking is done by chefs, whereas in Japan, it's done by restaurant staff, and the portions are also smaller. 2. The service was a huge disappointment. Hong Kong's service is far superior. This was the first time I encountered a restaurant in Japan where they didn't proactively refill tea. 3. The price is slightly cheaper than in Hong Kong. 4. The environment is good, with private rooms. I had expected the Hiyama in Japan to be amazing, but it was a rather disappointing meal. From now on, I'll just eat at the Harbour City branch.
