Had a fantastic day tour with our friendly tour guide Jens. He was very informative with clear instructions throughout the day which made everything go smoothly. The itinerary wasn't too rushed and the pace suited us well. Bus was large and comfortable. We were able to borrow snow gear prior to 1.5hrs of snow fun at Shiga Kogen. Lunch was great and tasty aswell. The walk to see the snow monkeys was challenging due to the icy track - crampons are a must in winter! Would thoroughly recommend this day tour overall!

The Best Day! From the moment I booked it was seamless. Lots of communication made it easy to know where to meet and what to expect. Our driver and Guide Endo were amazing!! We were able to hire some snow gear on the day which made it so easy for a day trip to the snow without the hassle of packing it with us. It was also extremely affordable. We hired two snow jackets and four pairs of snow boots for only $30 Aud. We could also continue to use the boots for the Monkey Park. The included lunch was great value for money and kept us full , there was also a variety to choose from. The kids were very happy too which made it easy (ages 8 and 10). There was plenty to do and lots of time to explore and play around in the snow. The monkey park was a beautiful walk but I highly recommend buying snow spikes for your shoes as suggested by our guide. Ypu can buy these on the day. It was a lifesaver as we easily navigated the long walk in slippery snow with ease, we saw many people struggle. They were affordable at $10 Aud each pair. The tour is definitely worth the money and won’t disappoint!!!

We had a lot of fun at the snow mountain of Shiga Kogen, definitely will come back again for more snow activities. the Snow Monkey Onsen was the highlight, they were so cute. The snow Mountain View was stunning!

This tour was wonderful! The weather was perfect, the snow activities were fun, and the snow monkeys were adorable! Our guides Endo and Kei are the best. They are both friendly and knowledgeable. They even gave us recommendations for places to eat after the tour. Highly recommended!

We were staying at Karuizawa so this was a day trip out for us. Instructions where to meet were clear and our guide, Joyce, arrived early to meet us. She explained the dos and don'ts clearly and would keep time for us. she answered questions patiently and would suggest what we could try on our own. I would say we made the right choice! When the day started, it was only lightly snowing but as the day progressed, the forecast became heavy snow. The snow fun part was my daughter's favourite, as she exclaimed, so soft and fluffy! it's a small area cordoned off for children/ beginners but the equipment provided is sufficient for adults to use (sleds/ sledding bikes). we had enough time to play and have lunch and walk around for a bit. Then we were off to another ski resort for the ski lift ride. I have a phobia of height so I stayed behind to wait for them. My daughter enjoyed the ride up and down. we then headed for the snow monkey park. it's a long walk in but to me, the highlight was the walk in, then the snow monkeys. it was so serene and beautiful! we had enough time to wander around to take photos before heading out. Joyce introduced us to this apple pie from enza cafe (own expenses) and it was so good! the driver also did a good job driving safely despite the icy conditions and snowing. however, while this is doable for most people with minimal fitness, it can be tiring as some parts involved walking upslope on snow.

It was a fun day tour from Tokyo to Nagano. Our guide Endo was very kind and he was good at explaining to us the tour and what to expect. The food was great too. We have a lot of fun at the snow resort. The spectacular view from the snow resort chairlift was amazing. Everything was great! Definitely will recommend this tour!

C'était le point culminant de mon voyage au Japon. N'oubliez pas de porter des chaussures appropriées pour la randonnée pendant la saison hivernale. Le chemin des singes des neiges est super glissant et assez dangereux.

What a wonderful day! I highly recommend it for families with children. The snow play area in the morning was perfect; you'd never find it on your own. There were so many snow toys, we couldn't even get to them all, and two hours wasn't enough time to play. The cable car ride to the mountaintop was also breathtaking, not as scary as I imagined, and a unique experience for the kids. I was the only one who booked that day, but the tour still went ahead and wasn't canceled, which I'm very grateful for. Our guide, Jens, even helped look after the children and got his pants wet from being hit by snowballs, but he was incredibly nice. So, go ahead and book with confidence! It was the happiest day I've had in Japan.

A great day out, worth the cost!! we were very lucky and it was snowing lightly while on the tour. The snow play area is good for adults and children and lunch was very yummy. the snow monkeys were great, there is plenty of time to stroll up to them and stroll back without feeling rushed.

I joined this trip on January 16th, 2026, and my guide was the one and only amazing Kay 🫶🏼. The trip was okay at first, but with the amazing guidance from Ms. Kay, my solo trip became very great, and I never felt lost or alone during the trip because she was truly excellent. She knew exactly what she was doing to ensure that everyone in our group, who initially didn't know anyone, became very close to each other regardless of age and background, and we certainly enjoyed our trip!!! A BIG SHOUT OUT TO KAY, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR GUIDANCE DURING THAT TRIP 😎🫂 10/10✨ would recommend this trip.
