One of the best trips in Bali! It was so magical seeing the sunrise on top of the mountain, plus Henra was one of the best tour guides we've ever had! His effort and dedication in taking photos was so worth it! He is so talented and easy to get along with! Our driver Risia was also great! On time and very understanding of our delays! Para nuestro Jeep al amanecer más la caminata a la cima, nos recogieron directamente de nuestra Villa en Ubud y nos llevaron a la base del Monte Batur. Desde allí, cambiamos a un Jeep y recogimos a nuestro guía de senderismo y subimos a mitad de la montaña. Después de detenernos hasta donde el Jeep pudo llevarnos, comenzamos nuestra caminata. La caminata en sí duró alrededor de 40 minutos y poco menos de una milla. La caminata puede ser empinada a veces y también arenosa, lo que puede ser resbaladizo. Sin embargo, la caminata es muy manejable para todo tipo de personas, especialmente si tienes un guía de senderismo increíble como el que tuvimos nosotros. Nuestro guía de senderismo era Ketut y nos guio expertamente por la montaña y nos ayudó en las partes especialmente empinadas o resbaladizas. Además, nos preparó un desayuno en la cima de la montaña y nos llevó al mejor punto de observación y fotografía para el amanecer. Además, nos tomó excelentes fotos una vez en la cima de la montaña. Recomiendo encarecidamente este tour, ya que puedes tomar un Jeep parte del camino por la montaña y luego hacer una caminata más corta hasta la cima, donde obtendrás las extraordinarias vistas de 360 grados de la región circundante.

I'm living in Bali for a month, and this was one of the most special experiences, along with my time in Gili. Early in the morning, as we drove up the mountain in a jeep, it was a bit scary because it was bumpy and dark. However, the feeling of driving through the pre-dawn air with countless stars above was exhilarating. When we arrived at the sunrise point, seeing diverse people from all over the world waiting for the sunrise and chatting with each other gave me a very unique feeling. The sun that finally rose was incredibly beautiful. I did this alone this time, but next time, I'd love to enjoy this moment with a dear friend. Also, the guide was truly passionate and dedicated to taking photos.

We were picked up at 2:30 AM from our hotel in Ubud, and first drove for about 1 hour and 20 minutes in an SUV to the jeep transfer point at the foot of Mount Batur. Here, we switched to a jeep driver. There was a flush toilet at this location, costing 5,000 Rupiah per use, and change was provided. After switching to the jeep, we drove up a bumpy road for about 15 minutes to reach the trailhead. Here, we switched to a trekking guide. Both drivers waited for us. It was the rainy season, and it had rained until the night before, so I was a bit worried, but it didn't rain during the hike, and there were even clear skies, making it a perfect day for climbing. Although we couldn't see the sunrise, climbing while enjoying the beautiful night view of Lake Batur was a pleasant experience. After reaching the summit, the guide had us sit on bamboo benches (there were over 100 people, but there was plenty of space and many long benches for everyone to sit). He brought us hot chocolate in glass cups. Then, we had breakfast with warm banana sandwiches, boiled eggs, bananas, and chocolate bars. There were many monkeys at the summit. They were cute, eating alongside people. Actually, the highest point here no longer has a summit marker (the guide said it was stolen). First, we went to that highest point, and then proceeded clockwise around the crater for a bit, reaching the spot with the Indonesian flag and summit marker shown in the photos. We had many photos taken, including trendy mirror shots. Afterwards, we descended to the jeep pick-up point. While it was dark, there were no flies, but once it became bright, there were so many flies at that spot that I wanted to escape. By the time we descended to the area with the toilet, there were not as many flies. On the way back, we had a free coffee tasting at a coffee plantation, and then went to a giant swing. Alas Harum, where the swing was located, was extremely crowded and tiring, and it also started raining, so we had planned to go to a pool afterwards. However, when I told the driver I wanted to eat and go back, he took us to a very nice restaurant right near Alas Harum, where we enjoyed delicious Indonesian food before returning to the hotel. Throughout the entire trip, I felt their high level of service and their desire to make us happy, making it a very enjoyable tour.

La caminata fue un poco desafiante, ¡pero valió la pena! Un paisaje y un amanecer muy hermosos, agradable tener algo para comer y beber en la cima de la montaña. Nuestra conductora Komang llegó a tiempo, hablaba muy bien inglés y fue muy amable; incluso nos enseñó algunas cosas de la cultura balinesa y al final nos ofreció visitar una plantación de café, lo cual fue interesante. El paseo en jeep con Komo fue bastante accidentado, ¡pero divertido y sincero! Nos tomó fotos en el techo del jeep. Y nuestro guía de caminata, Alex, fue el guía más paciente y cuidadoso, nos tomó muchas fotos y nos sentimos seguros con él. Incluso eligió algunos caminos más fáciles para nosotros. Después de la caminata, las aguas termales fueron la mejor opción, porque estábamos bastante sucios con el polvo de la montaña y cansados. La única queja es sobre el café AKASA: un paisaje muy hermoso, pero un servicio terrible. Tuvimos que esperar mucho tiempo para que nos dieran el menú, luego para pedir y luego se olvidaron de nuestra comida, así que al final estaba fría (¡esto es culpa del café, no del guía turístico!). En general, estamos contentos con nuestra elección y definitivamente valió la pena, una buena relación calidad-precio. Solo ten en cuenta que la caminata no es fácil.

All the activities were top-notch! Upon arriving at the Sunrise spot, they provided breakfast, coffee, and tea to enjoy! They were friendly and didn't mind helping take pictures from all angles! The Pine Forest was a good break to chill. The ATV was the highlight; we went for a few rounds, and they didn't mind us going for extra rounds even though the activity was for 2 hours. Really had fun with the team! 10/10 would recommend!
