Our tour guide, Ms. Guo, was incredibly professional and thoughtful. Because of our early departure, she specially prepared toast and fruit for everyone, allowing us to eat and refuel on the bus. Doi Inthanon National Park is absolutely beautiful; the twin pagodas in the heavy mist were almost surreal. The hiking trail experience was quite unique; some sections were a bit challenging but not overly difficult. In addition to Ms. Guo, a local ethnic minority mountain guide, familiar with the mountain paths, was also hired. Along the way, we saw many unique plants and even a stunningly vibrant green bamboo pit viper. It was my first time seeing such a beautiful and captivating snake, and with a professional guide accompanying us, I wasn't afraid. When the terraced fields and waterfalls came into view, I felt that everything was worth it. This was the best itinerary of our Chiang Mai trip, and I highly recommend it to everyone.
It’s supposed to be rainy season in July but we are blessed with great weather in the morning and early afternoon. Our guide (Nataya) and driver are both women who are friendly and thoughtful. Nataya speaks good English and always turn around to check if we are awake before speaking and ensures we are comfortable. The Honda City car is clean and comfortable. We are surprised the Karen guide speak quite good English too just by learning it himself. Karen guide provides very informative explanation throughout the walk. The route is slippery but it’s great that the National park/tribe people built railings using bamboo. We love the 2 hrs walk to the Karen village. The coffee made we very nice and one can buy a small packet of coffee beans/powder for 200 baht. The set meal restaurant recommended by Nataya is local and taste nice too. This is the highlight of our trip and we love it a lot. No regrets booking this private tour and would recommend anyone who has time to try this out.
It was such a kind and wonderful trip. I was touched by the way they took care of me so affectionately, like a friend. I think I will visit them again next time I come to Chiang Mai.
Our tour guide, Ah-Chung, was handsome, humorous, and great at taking photos. Even though it poured rain that day, he remained full of energy, making our entire trip full of laughter and leaving us with wonderful memories. The first big waterfall was truly stunning and beautiful. Although the Pha Dok Sieo trail was a bit muddy and difficult to walk, it was absolutely worth it. It's a beautiful, pristine trail rich in ecology!
We enjoyed the tour overall! Booked for 8 pax with friends. Guide was able to communicate well in English and was very accommodating to our schedule and timeline, finishing our tour right on the time we requested. We loved the scenery in the mountain tour. Ride was a little bumpy at times but comfortably spacious.
a good day, the transfer is actually 2 hours from the city not an hour as published. the waterfall was great and the guide was lovely. unfortunately the coffee farm was a bit lacking, didn’t really see/do anything except get a coffee from the pot he had on the stove. when out for lunch stay away from the green curry, the worst I’ve ever had. the king and queens pagoda was fantastic
Pha Dok Siew is a waterfall worth visiting. The hike from the trail to the waterfall is relatively easy, and along the way, we saw some insects and animals not commonly seen. Our guide, Ah Zhong, and the local park guide were very attentive and took excellent care of us throughout the trip.
The pick-up and drop-off were punctual. Surprisingly, there were only two of us, but we had a 9-seater vehicle all to ourselves. The car was very clean and comfortable. Our tour guide was a Chinese-speaking auntie of Chinese descent, and she was incredibly kind. She patiently explained everything and took photos throughout the entire trip. We truly lucked out with such a wonderful guide.
Sandy the tour guide is witty and knowledgeable. As someone who has traveled many times, I give Sandy Guo first place!
