We visit Garden Lounge every year for their afternoon tea, and this time we took advantage of Klook’s B1G1 promotion to try their Peking duck set dinner. Overall, it was really enjoyable. The duck was well-prepared, and the entire set offered good taste. What truly stood out, however, was the dessert. The Black Sesame & Peanut Tart was exceptional — beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We were very impressed with the quality of the sweets.
This was my first time dining at this hotel restaurant, which I had bookmarked previously. The restaurant's ambiance and atmosphere were excellent, and the staff were friendly and polite. This time, I enjoyed a buy-one-get-one-free semi-buffet dinner. The buffet bar offered three types of sashimi, along with king crab legs and mussels. The oysters were a pleasant surprise! For hot dishes, there was Peking duck, pork chop, and lamb rack. The main course menu, on the other hand, was much more extensive. The food tasted good! Unfortunately, if you don't pay extra for the drinks menu, only grapefruit juice and water are available. There was also a good variety of desserts, and the ice cream seemed to be homemade. The only downside was that a hotel staff member quickly cleared away a plate that hadn't been finished yet – so fast that I couldn't stop them from taking it away. 😓
First time dining here, the service was excellent. They were proactive in clearing plates, and the self-service area outside was continuously restocked with ingredients, never appearing stingy. Regarding the food, the soup and steak from the semi-buffet were very good. There were also four side dishes; apart from the salt and pepper squid being rather ordinary, the other three performed above average and were very good. Since it's a semi-buffet and already includes a main course, the self-service area doesn't have too many options, but the chilled seafood included oysters, cooked shrimp, and mussels, all of good quality. There were also crab legs, but they were more on the ordinary side. There were only three types of sashimi, which I skipped without missing much. The salad and cheese were also up to standard. What was quite surprising was that there were also three hot dishes (Salmon Wellington, lamb chops, and Peking duck). The lamb chops and salmon were delicious; I didn't try the duck. After the main course had been served for a while, a waiter came to remind us that we could get ice cream, which I believe was Movenpick, with five flavors, which was plenty. Desserts were at the entrance but weren't particularly appealing; I tried a small piece of brownie, which was okay. Overall, it was very good, and I would come again.
I purchased the Murray semi-buffet dinner package. I saw many excellent reviews and wanted to try it myself, and luckily, I found a friend to come with me. Besides being able to order one main course from the à la carte menu, the buffet area, though small, is fully equipped. It offers seafood, oysters, abalone (the market kind 🤣), roasted meats, salads, Parma ham, cheese, hot Chinese dishes, white soup, fruits, desserts, ice cream (Movenpick), red wine, white wine, and sparkling wine. Basically, you can definitely eat your fill, and every ingredient is cooked well, tasting like a high-end Chinese restaurant and a high-end Western restaurant. I personally found it very surprising. In the past three months, I've eaten at 9 different hotel buffets, including top-tier ones like Jx, Li x, The x, and Mr x. It's not that they're bad, but I felt that only some of their food was outstanding, not a complete knockout, and not as amazing as everyone says. This Murray hotel offers reasonable prices and good taste. I would recommend it to friends and will definitely encore it 👍.
This is a repeat purchase. The hotel was very thoughtful; two attendees for the original booking date fell ill and needed to reschedule, and the hotel arranged for the voucher to be used within one month. The food maintained its standard. The Christmas Desserts were particularly outstanding. The oysters were still moving when served, very fresh. The king crab was large and tasted of the sea. Unfortunately, all four portions of the main course steaks were overcooked, and the grouper was quite fishy. (After we provided feedback, the hotel immediately offered to switch to other dishes, but we were full and declined to avoid wasting food.) Free Parking.
Great value for money! 😀 The selection of teas wasn't extensive; however, ordering through Klook included a complimentary sparkling wine or sparkling tea. I chose the sparkling tea, which was delicious and paired well with the food. As soon as the afternoon tea was served, it immediately created a high tea atmosphere. They also provided the birthday plaque I had requested in advance. Many thanks to Klook and the hotel restaurant for the arrangement ❤️. The savory and sweet items were exquisitely presented, each with distinct flavors. The savory dishes were aromatic and delicious, while the desserts weren't overly sweet or cloying, maintaining a certain standard. However, I was a bit disappointed that there were no plain scones, and they were quite crumbly, falling apart easily when eaten. The indoor ceiling isn't very high, so the sense of space isn't vast, but the overall feeling is comfortable. The live harp performance was a huge bonus! 👍🏼
Cost-effective afternoon tea 🥰 I've always kept an eye on The Murray's promotions, and I stumbled upon this offer on Klook. After reading several reviews, I purchased this afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday. It truly exceeded expectations; the hotel environment is elegant and beautiful. The giant white floral arrangement at the main entrance of the Garden Lounge, floating in mid-air like fireworks, is quite impressive. From the receptionists to the waitstaff, everyone was friendly and polite, with warm and pleasant smiles, and they worked efficiently. I emailed a day in advance to inquire if a birthday plaque could be added to the afternoon tea, and I received a quick reply. On the day itself, everything was arranged perfectly. The savory and sweet items of the afternoon tea were exquisitely presented, and all tasted excellent, with just the right portion sizes. I particularly loved the Earl Grey scones; the tea flavor was just right and paired wonderfully with the jam and lemon butter... Before leaving, I strolled through the outdoor garden, which featured sculptures full of artistic flair and a serene landscape that calmed the mind... This afternoon tea was definitely worth the price.
I recently enjoyed the Garden Lounge Afternoon Tea Set at Klook, and it was an absolute delight! The experience was truly exceptional, starting with the serene and picturesque ambiance of the garden setting. The tea set itself was a culinary masterpiece, with a delectable assortment of sweet and savory treats that pleased both the eyes and taste buds. The attention to detail and presentation were impeccable. To top it off, the glass of sparkling wine provided the perfect touch of elegance. The attentive staff added to the overall experience, ensuring that every moment was memorable. I highly recommend this afternoon tea set at Klook's Garden Lounge for an indulgent and enchanting experience.
物超所值的半自助晚餐!大閘蟹有點小,但半自助餐的蟹腳和棕蟹彌補了這一點。食物品質很好。
You don't need to ask for food because it's immediately taken out by someone. The quality of customers is good. You won't worry about not having enough food, as they always refill it at once.
