Hotel Steigenberger Sunac Guangzhou

What a spectacular stay!!! We had an amazing time at the hotel. A special thanks to Michael and the rest of the staff for making our anniversary special. The room was spacious and clean. Both dinner and breakfast buffet were delicious. The skiing experience was phenomenal, so worth it.

Regarding the hotel, the service was attentive, the rooms were clean, and the front desk staff, Sister Manling, was polite and friendly, which we greatly appreciated. As for Sunac Land, the facilities are quite old, and many activities are not suitable for children under 110cm. Also, many attractions require an additional fee, and the prices are not cheap, starting from 30 yuan. So, if you're not particularly fond of theme parks or are short on time, it's not a must-visit. Instead, you might consider the Sports World inside Sunac Mall; although it also requires a fee, the activities are more diverse. Finally, it's worth mentioning the hotel's Chinese restaurant. I ordered a set meal for three to four people on Meituan for HKD 400, which included four stewed soups, seven dishes, and dessert. The original price was HKD 1400. Although HKD 400 can get you a very rich meal in mainland China, the value for money was still high, and the service at the Chinese restaurant was excellent. Sisters Meilan and Ruan Nan had warm smiles, making it a very enjoyable meal.

This is my second time staying at this hotel. Last time, it was HKD 900 for one night, including breakfast for two and skiing, which I already thought was an incredible deal. The breakfast food wasn't bad either! This time, for HKD 1250, it included dinner for two, so of course, I had to try it again. However, I usually don't dare to eat too much cold seafood in mainland China, so I didn't have high expectations for the buffet dinner. As a result, no expectations meant no disappointment, and there were even surprises! The food was still very good! Breakfast was the same as last time, satisfactory! This time I booked a twin room, and when checking in, I told the front desk I wanted to switch to a king-size bed. They upgraded us for free! I'd like to give a shout-out to the front desk colleague, Wong Ka Lai. 🤣

Nice location, good maintenance of hotel, less variety of breakfast, lots of mosquito even at 5th floor balcony. The sunac park is poor maintenance, look age, my son don't enjoy it

We ordered this hotel package for two consecutive nights, with two adults and two children staying. The lobby decor is full of Chinese characteristics and feels very spacious. Hotel front desk manager Ms. Chen Manling specially changed the usage date of the amusement park tickets, saving us from having to purchase additional children's tickets, which was very thoughtful and humane. The room was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful and tranquil lake view outside the window, which was refreshing. The hotel's breakfast buffet offered a diverse selection, matching the hotel's standard, and overall was satisfactory. Mr. Xie, a lobby staff member, was proactive and enthusiastic in serving guests, which is commendable.

This accommodation package is truly excellent value. The room is spacious and comfortable, with ample air conditioning and a large balcony overlooking the lake, Sunac Grand Theatre, and Sunac Mall. The slippers provided are very comfortable. The package includes skiing for two, a buffet breakfast for two, and a buffet dinner for two. Skiing was great fun. The breakfast and dinner were just average, but still acceptable. If breakfast and dinner are not included, I wouldn't recommend paying extra for them. You can eat what you like at Sunac Mall, but a friendly reminder that Sunac Mall opens at 10 AM, so if you want breakfast, you might have to wait or find other restaurants outside.

Our two families, a total of six people, went for three days and two nights. We all loved the hotel. This trip was excellent value, exceeding five-star hotel service. The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel staff and service were beyond five-star. From check-in to check-out over the three days and two nights, all staff members – front desk, back office, concierge, housekeeping, and restaurant – were extremely professional and polite, and they worked efficiently and diligently. I actually think we Hong Kongers can sometimes be quite troublesome, but they still patiently and politely helped us. Thank you all for your efforts. I also want to specifically mention Mia from the front desk; when we encountered an entry issue at the theme park and called her, she resolved it for us in 10 minutes. Also, thanks to Mia from the back office for arranging our rooms. Thank you to everyone at the hotel, from top to bottom; you are truly amazing. Your excellent service definitely adds a lot of value to the entire area. Both of our families had a wonderful time and will definitely visit again. Grateful.

Before booking, I asked if an extra bed could be added. Customer service said they wouldn't help me ask and told me to ask upon arrival. After I booked, I asked customer service for the hotel's contact information, hoping to arrange it in advance. Customer service then said it wasn't possible, stating that policy dictates no extra beds can be added, and that I hadn't read the terms clearly. However, I wonder if customer service was a bit misleading at the beginning. Luckily, I was able to add a bed upon arrival, and even got upgraded to a lake view room. Plus, by joining their membership, I received a discount on the extra bed and free breakfast. The hotel is generally okay, very close to the water park and ski resort. The hotel's Thai and Chinese food were also delicious. However, I booked two consecutive nights separately on Klook, and on the second day, I needed to update the key card, but the system couldn't handle it.

Excellent value for money! The hotel is very new, comfortable, modern, and clean. The toiletries smell great, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of delicious options! The water park tickets are convenient and fun! Adding the 3-hour ski pass made for a perfect holiday! The hotel pool wasn't open yet, but the location is super convenient for Sunac! Highly recommended! 🩵
