Experiência de Snorkel em Nusa Penida

My goal was clear: to see manta rays during a half-day snorkeling trip. So, I researched a lot online beforehand to increase my chances. First, the result: I give it five stars! Because in the end, I saw a manta ray as big as a car, which was incredibly stunning! Experience: Here are the key points I considered: 1. Private small group, high flexibility I didn't choose a large group tour because I saw many shared experiences mentioning a lower chance of seeing manta rays. Although a private small group costs more (equivalent to chartering a boat), I found the price of this company to be reasonable and acceptable. 2. Choose the earliest slot (7 AM) The water is clearer, and the fish conditions are better. The meeting point is right by the sea, but the map made it look hard to find. After getting off the road, you have to walk down a small path to the beach. I recommend leaving early to avoid wasting time looking for it. Plus, the signal there is very poor. 3. Chance of seeing manta rays: According to online information, Manta Point > Manta Bay (note that these are two different locations). However, this was a package tour, and usually, the first stop is Manta Bay. So, before departing, I communicated with the shop on-site, stating that if we didn't see any in the bay, I wanted to go to the more distant Manta Point. The shop said it would cost extra, which was true because its distance is about double, and I also found online that it requires an additional fee. The final negotiation result was an extra TWD 2400 for the boat to take us to the Point. But they warned that even going there doesn't guarantee a sighting. The weather that day wasn't great either, but since we were already there, we decided to go for it! Along the way, the captain diligently searched for any signs of manta rays. If there were none, he'd just drive past. We kept going until we reached the Point before getting into the water. After about 15 minutes in the water, I thought we might be out of luck... then suddenly, it appeared! Its fins swam so gracefully! It was huge! This was my first time seeing a wild manta ray up close, and it was well worth the trip! The foreigners on the other boats excitedly jumped into the water, kicking their fins to get closer and photograph it, even bumping into me. I didn't expect a trampling incident to happen in the sea... The guide also dived down to help take photos and videos. The second snorkeling spot seemed to be Diamond Beach. The water was very warm, and there were many fish, which I also found great (those who are afraid of cold or sun should wear their own wetsuits or rash guards, as the shop doesn't have any for rent). Minor drawback: I didn't receive contact from the shop the night before, and their address looked very hard to find. We later asked the hotel to help us call them to confirm the location. Just a small complaint, hoping for improvement. Summary: If your travel time is limited, you can only do a half-day tour, and your friends are afraid of diving but still want to see manta rays – this long post is for you. This company is a worthwhile option to consider. I personally did everything I could to increase my chances: woke up early, was willing to pay a little extra, and prepared myself mentally (after all, no one can guarantee seeing wild animals). A super enjoyable snorkeling trip. The tour guide took great care to attend to everyone, took photos of us, and I also saw manta rays and beautiful small fish. If there's a chance, I will come back to this snorkeling shop to snorkel again. Oh, by the way, you can also feed the fish. I'm really overjoyed, and I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to them.

The day we went diving was a lot of fun, and we were lucky enough to see a manta ray. The manta swam very fast and was only visible for a brief moment. The best part was drifting with the current at spot number 4. If you're not a strong swimmer, you might consider visiting just 3 spots.

Excellent value. The shop will message you one day in advance to arrange a time. We arrived at the shop at 9:00 AM. The shop is located behind the beach. After checking in, we went to choose our masks and fins, which was great as there were many sizes available, so you don't need to bring your own. The diving mask was excellent, fitting snugly with no leaks. The waves were very strong, and the sun was intense, making us quite dizzy. At the first spot, where we hoped to see stingrays, we were unlucky and didn't find any, but we did see two dolphins jumping instead. The last spot was the best; the coral reef was beautiful, and we drifted several kilometers with the current. Taking photos underwater here was stunning, with many beautiful fish swimming all around us. The shop also took underwater photos for us at no extra charge. We just had to message them to get the photo files.

It was the most amazing experience. They took us to the really good spots. We saw Manta Ray, the other beautiful fishes and some people even saw the turtle.

This was an amazing snorkeling tour. There were 4 stops and we were out for about 2.5 hours. The staff were friendly and spoke good English. I might go again if I have time before I go back to Bali.

Nice service and a good boat. We were a total of 15 people on the boat. We didn't see the manta rays, but that's not their fault, it was due to the weather. So, a reason to come back and book this tour again. They also take pictures with a GoPro for free.

All the staff were kind and lent us snorkels and flippers that fit our sizes before departure. We departed at 10 AM and returned a little after 12 PM after snorkeling. We visited all four points, and it was great that they took photos with a GoPro and sent them to us the very next day. Very, very satisfied 😆

Obtuvimos un excelente precio para 4 personas. Tuvimos dificultades para encontrar la tienda del proveedor. Tuvimos que preguntar en varios lugares para descubrir que el proveedor había pasado el servicio a un subproveedor. Finalmente, aceptaron registrar nuestros nombres. Una vez hecho esto, todo fue sin problemas y solo tuvimos que seguir las instrucciones. Guardamos nuestro equipaje en la tienda del proveedor Sparrow... compartieron fotos a través de un enlace de Google Fotos. Las instrucciones de snorkel proporcionadas por el equipo en el barco fueron buenas. Tina estuvo cuidando a nuestros hijos, monitoreándolos todo el tiempo en el lugar de Gamat Bay donde no buceé debido al agotamiento. Un sincero agradecimiento a Tina.

I can only say it was super good! The staff were very helpful and enthusiastic. They provided suitable life jackets for non-swimmers. I was very scared at first, the waves were quite big at the first spot. At the second spot, there were many small fish, and the photos and videos turned out great. The third spot was closer to the shore, and we could also see schools of fish. The cost included photos and videos, which was excellent value for money!
