Tour Personalizado: Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Pai, Mae Hong Song pela AK Travel

We took the 1-day Chiang Rai tour. We started with the hot spring (frankly, nothing special, the area is not well maintained and super rundown, I suggest skipping it). Then we reached the White Temple (everyone told me to come!) and the number of visitors was massive... so it's not easy to get a good angle for nice photos if that's your intention... you will surely be disappointed... however, I felt it was a superb place to look at the intrinsic character and the meticulous craft that went into its making... some parts looked a little scary, but it's an experience. Then we went to Singha Park for lunch, and the ambiance is great, food is good and not expensive, and the service is top-notch. After lunch, we went to the Long Neck Karen village, and again, I believe it is a dying tribe as the world advances further. We got the chance to understand their culture, their way of life, and how they make a living as aboriginal people. Again, another interesting chapter in one of my life's books. The last stop was the Blue Temple, and this has some similarities with the White Temple since it was created by a disciple of the White Temple's artist. It's kind of painful to travel 3 hours from Chiang Mai (one way) for this tour. If you have time, it would be good to perhaps stay a night and move to another area heading further north.

We had an enjoyable tour with Chiang Rai Custom Tour by AK Travel, visiting some of the city’s highlights. The White Temple (Wat Rong Khun) was stunning, with its unique design and presence unlike any other temple. The Blue Temple (Wat Rong Suea Ten) was also impressive, with beautiful architecture and details — a perfect short stop for photos. At the Baan Dam Museum, we explored an amazing collection of artworks and striking building designs. We also stopped by Lalitta Café, which has a beautiful garden and waterfall, though the prices are a bit on the higher side. Our driver, Nat, was excellent — safe, punctual (even arriving an hour early), kind, and friendly. Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable tour, with plenty of memorable sights worth seeing in Chiang Rai.

My father and I really enjoyed this customized trip. Ms. Ang, also known as Ms. Anna, was a skilled driver with good English communication skills. She also recommended a beautiful temple along our journey to Chiang Rai.

Very good customer service, we could plan our own trip and let them know. The driver, Thor was very helpful and he speaks English so it was easy communicate. He was very professional at what he does. He provided suggestions to which area we should have visited 1st, so on and so forth. Thor has suggested that we visit the sheep farm 1st as the sheep get to roam and graze earlier in the morning and we should be able to interact with the sheep which was our main motive of going to the place. We wouldn’t have been able to if we went in the afternoon. He checked if the flower garden was still blooming, made arrangements to check if certain areas we want to visit is still open, or was it closed. All in all. 5/5. Would recommend!

Highly recommended! After booking, we received a manual from AK. Before our trip, we emailed AK to ask if the places we wanted to visit were accessible and if the timing was feasible, etc. Communication was convenient, and we received excellent suggestions. Our subsequent chartered car trip went very smoothly; we visited beautiful places and ate delicious local food. With their arrangements, it was much more reassuring than calling a car ourselves. We will definitely book again next time!

Our driver, Mr. Nat, is professional and took great care of us. He always arrived an hour early before our departure time and greeted us with a big smile on his face. :)

5 of us booked a private tour to Chiang Rai. The customer service staff contacted me promptly via email and WhatsApp, and was very patient in answering my questions. The driver Thor was also very helpful. His car was comfortable too.

We had a smooth travel and Mr. Ai Chai our driver is very courteous and easy to ask for favor, speaking little english is not a problem. Over all tour was great.

It's an excellent choice if you plan to visit the main attractions in one day. Our driver 'Thor' was very kind and had excellent communication skills. We had the chance to see several attractions in Chiang Rai in one day. What I didn't like is that the price is a bit high compared to the market rate, and I truly do not recommend going to the tall neck village (there's no basis for the entrance fees, and it's not worth it).
