My first rock climbing experience! As a delicate woman, I couldn't believe I could climb up there. Once I arrived at the climbing site, I was eager to give it a try. The climbing at the experience base is actually divided by difficulty: beginner, intermediate, and advanced, progressing step by step. The coach's guidance was very thorough and excellent 👍 I'll definitely come again next time.
This was my first time trying rock climbing, and I chose a bouldering gym that was very close to the subway station and had a great environment. There were quite a lot of people there on Sunday afternoon, and the coaches (both male and female) were very patient and attentive with their guidance. For first-timers, shoes are provided free of charge, but there's a fee for subsequent visits (if you really enjoy climbing, I recommend buying a pair of climbing shoes). They also provide disposable socks, which is a thoughtful touch. The routes are divided into several difficulty levels; I could mostly only attempt levels one and two. After playing for over an hour, I felt my whole body shaking – it was a very thorough workout for the day. I don't recommend wearing white clothes as they get dirty very easily!!! #Always prioritize safety and try to avoid injuries (mostly scrapes and bruises).
The transportation is very convenient, close to the subway. The owner is very kind and often comes to give guidance and advice on how to do things, which is great.
Warning: I only had Google as a login method, and for some reason, my foreign SIM card couldn't connect to the mobile data network, so I couldn't access my voucher online from the shop's Wi-Fi. If you rely on online services like I do, make sure to have a backup solution. Luckily, I managed to add a Gmail address as a login alternative, and it worked (using a Google account doesn't, but the @gmail email is fine). Bouldering-wise: I'm a V3-V4 climber, progressing slowly. There's a lot of variety in the routes set. I would have preferred a grippier texture on the wall compared to the existing wooden one, but this adds a bit more change to my pace. Route holds are slightly less demanding than the gym I'm used to, but again, it's a nice change of pace in my experience as a growing climber. The place can easily get crowded as climbing walls are on both sides, and safety awareness can be low when there are a lot of people. Just kindly ask, and people will move away from your falling area. Other than that, it was a nice experience overall. It's relatively close to the border, so it's a good half-day activity.
It's a bit hard to find inside the mall, and the store isn't very big. It's an unprotected climbing wall, and the highest point seems to be about 7-8 meters. The owner will guide you on how to climb, so it's a good experience for beginners. After playing for a while, my hands got very sore, possibly because my movements weren't quite right. I only managed to complete the first and second-level challenges. It looks easy, but when you're climbing, you're still a bit afraid of falling.
Buying on Klook is cheaper and very convenient to use! Rock climbing was a lot of fun, everyone was very friendly, and there was a very cute puppy. You don't need to prepare your own equipment, everything is provided there. Highly recommended!!!
Don't know what to do on the weekend and looking for some fun? It's been a while since I last went rock climbing, so I decided to give it a try. The tickets bought here were cheaper than group purchases, and you can climb all day, although anyone who's climbed before knows that after one or two rounds, you'll start to feel exhausted. Rock climbing tests your coordination and core strength more than anything else; even if you exercise regularly, it might not help much. After a day of climbing, my entire arms and back were sore.
The venue is pretty good, with different difficulty levels. The owner is very nice, and I highly recommend going to experience it. It's cheaper than some other places~
A very interesting experience. I still need more practice, and I'll go again if I have the chance.
We've visited the Nanshan store twice now! The owner was so thoughtful and kind; knowing we traveled from out of town specifically to climb there, they confidently let us enjoy ourselves. We're very grateful. The routes in the entire gym are on the harder side, the setting is professional, it's a great starting point for beginners, and it helps experienced climbers improve. We're planning to check out their new gym soon, woohoo!
