A highly recommended experience. Make sure everything you receive is in perfect condition, because if you stain it, you pay for it. It's better to rent early so you can explore the temple and traditional streets at your leisure.

The kimono rental was very clean and organized. They helped me choose a kimono, belt, and accessories. They tried to communicate with me using sign language because I don't speak Japanese and they don't speak English, but they were excellent at their job. One person did my hair, and then I was passed to another lady to put on my kimono. Thank you for letting me experience the Japanese outfit.

I had an appointment at 9 AM. There were Chinese-speaking staff at the shop who understood Chinese. Following the staff's guidance, I changed into a kimono and chose a lace design. It was only after layering it on that I realized how many layers I had to wear •᷄ࡇ•᷅, and it was a very hot day. The staff, an elderly lady, used hand gestures to ask me to choose a color. I said I wanted blue, and she showed me a sapphire blue, gesturing that it might not match my kimono very well? So, following her suggestion, I chose pink. During the hair braiding, I heard the staff say "Sugoi~" because my thick, long hair made braiding quite challenging. Her attitude was excellent; even without understanding the language, we could communicate with "yes" and "no" and hand gestures. She also asked in advance if I agreed to use hairspray and a curling iron. However, I came with my boyfriend, and he wasn't trying on a kimono. There was no seating or waiting area in the shop, and he accidentally walked in, causing a small issue. Perhaps a waiting area needs to be added? =͟͟͞͞(꒪ᗜ꒪ ‧̣̥̇) The details of wearing the kimono were truly meticulous. They measured the length and size, wrapped me in layers, and even tied a bow for me, telling me "So kawaii" ฅฅ*.

First kimono experience in Asakusa ٩۹(๑•̀ω•́ ๑)۶ Took many photos and was very satisfied. I feel like my husband's photography skills have improved by leaps and bounds since he got the iPhone 15. Of course, I also did some editing myself, haha. My lips were still inflamed at the time, so I went completely bare-faced. Relied on the almighty filters and beauty mode. Taking photos at famous spots really means a lot of people. Also had to look for someone to help us take a couple photo. It was my first time wearing a kimono, luckily I had screenshots of the shop's photos. Otherwise, with a row of kimono patterns, I would have been dazzled and confused. This time, I booked the Klook Asakusa Aiwafuku No. 3 store. The sweet couple plan was $1809. There were staff members who could speak Chinese. Wearing a kimono is really troublesome. Besides the patterned part, there are several layers of inner lining, sashes, and towels~~. It also included a hairstyle design, so I had to choose a hairstyle and hair accessories. Small bag, wearing mysterious socks and geta sandals. I wore the children's size~ The staff said it's safer if the heel sticks out a little bit. Just finishing putting it on, my waist already felt so sore. Half of my energy was gone. It's really impossible to walk around for a long time in geta sandals. I went to put it on at 9 AM, and by noon, my feet were almost exploding~

The staff are very friendly. There were many options and sizes to choose from. Hair styling service is also included. You also receive a small handbag and traditional shoes. It was less than a 10-minute walk from the main temple.

The proprietress and service staff are likely Taiwanese, so it's very convenient even if you don't speak Japanese. When I went in February, I felt there were fewer lace styles and slippers (not sure about now), but the combinations were still very beautiful (˶‾᷄ ⁻̫ ‾᷅˵)! I even had passersby compliment me and ask if they could take a photo! The hair and makeup artist is a kind Japanese grandma who directly shows pictures and accessories for guests to choose from, so there were no communication issues. Overall, I highly recommend it; it's not expensive and looks great. After getting dressed, the shop even gives you a photo (it's paper, postcard-sized). However, I still don't recommend wearing it in winter because I almost froze to death on the street 🥶🥶. P.S. Lace and special bag styles incur an additional charge, and there are very few men's styles.

The staff were incredibly kind, and there were so many beautiful clothes, hair accessories, and bags available without any extra charge! They even helped us choose outfits and get dressed. The staff made us feel very comfortable, and it was so cute when they occasionally spoke a little broken Korean, haha. Right in front, there were many attractions and sights in an old Japanese style, so we took lots of photos and enjoyed ourselves before returning the items. If we ever rent again, we'll definitely rent from here. We chose this place after seeing reviews about the friendly staff, and as soon as we arrived, we understood why, hehe. Highly recommended!!

During the process, the designer patiently introduced every detail, giving me a deeper understanding of kimono wearing and hairstyles. This experience not only boosted my confidence but also gave me a deeper appreciation for Japan's traditional culture.

We booked the earliest slot at 9 AM. When we arrived, there was a Chinese-speaking staff member to guide us. We could also ask the professional sisters for advice when choosing kimonos. Although Japanese communication was not possible, gesturing and simple English were okay, haha. I chose a red kimono, and the sisters helped me create a beautiful hairstyle. Walking on the street in a kimono really felt like a wonderful way to experience traditional Japanese culture. I highly recommend coming to Asakusa Aiwafuku Store No. 3. Behind it is the Sumida River where you can photograph the Skytree, and it's not far to walk to Senso-ji Temple.
