A great experience! The water was very clear, but there were quite a few insects, though they didn't bite. We also caught a lot of shrimp. The hot pot ingredients were quite ordinary, but still very delicious. The coach was very kind, shared information about Hualien, and was very caring, looking after us the entire time.

Coaches Chihuahua and Shihan did a great job introducing themselves. They kept chatting with us to ease our tension and constantly watched out for our safety, all while capturing photos of us diligently catching shrimp. At first, it felt funny stopping by the side of a mysterious road, but then we realized it was super close to the stream!

The experience was fun and unique, and I had a lot of fun catching shrimp. The dinner provided was delicious.

What a great experience! The team leader quickly found shrimp and demonstrated how to find and catch them. However, we might have been inexperienced or our headlamps weren't bright enough, as we kept bending over, which made our backs very sore. The team leader also helped us find shrimp for us to catch. Another team leader was grilling by the shore, with chicken wings, pork belly, tempura, and a pot of wild vegetable soup. The BBQ was more delicious than I imagined 😋

Due to the weather, the river was murky, so we changed our itinerary to experience indigenous culture instead. We wore Amis traditional clothing and enjoyed a barbecue and bamboo rice, which was a lot of fun.

A very unique activity! Catching shrimp in the cool stream while breathing fresh air was so much fun 😄. We caught quite a few and then released them back into the stream.

It's recommended to bring your own headlamp; the ones they provide aren't bright enough to easily find shrimp. Overall, it was a lot of fun!

Having a pick-up service is very convenient! Catching shrimp is also a lot of fun. When you're tired, look up at the sky and you'll see a super beautiful starry night. After catching shrimp, the barbecue and wild vegetable hot pot are incredibly rich and filling. The coaches for the shrimp catching activity are all very friendly and humorous! It's worth experiencing ^^

This is an interesting and unique experience. I enjoyed catching river shrimp. Some things to be aware of though are that the activity is catch and release, so you are not eating what you catch. They drive you back to their location where the "hotpot" is more a gigantic pot of soup and the barbecue is already made into a platter and served to each table.

It was really fun! Although we weren't very good at finding them at first, the coach helped us find shrimp nests for catching shrimp. For groups of six or fewer, there's hot pot, which is also delicious!
