Tour guide Jiang Cui was very professional and friendly! From the start, she clearly explained the day's itinerary in the car, introduced the origins and features of each attraction, and recommended local snacks and important notes, making everyone feel very at ease. Throughout the trip, she constantly reminded us of the meeting times, and the itinerary was smooth and unhurried. She also proactively helped with photos and meticulously cared for every traveler; her service was very thoughtful. Although it was a bit regrettable that we couldn't enter Mount Aso due to weather or restrictions, the overall trip was still fulfilling and enjoyable, making for a wonderful day tour experience. I highly recommend this tour and am very grateful for tour guide Jiang Cui's dedicated leadership ♡ I will definitely join again if I have the chance and will recommend it to friends!

This was my first time buying a one-day tour in Japan. We went to the suburban areas of Mount Aso and Takachiho. Having a bus and a guide allowed us to experience a different kind of itinerary, and we didn't have to worry about transportation. Our guide, Ms. Sugiyama, was very enthusiastic and introduced us to high-value food and souvenirs along the way, helping us avoid tourist traps. The Takachiho Gorge train was also very impressive; the bubbles floating through the canyon were beautiful. The station staff even waved goodbye to the train as we left, which was a very heartwarming experience. The scenery of Takachiho Gorge was magnificent and breathtaking. The only pity was that Mount Aso was still closed and inaccessible, but the scenery and food along the way, coupled with Ms. Sugiyama's interesting commentary, still made this trip a beautiful memory.

This was my first time joining a day tour in Japan; previously, I'd always traveled independently. However, Takachiho and Mount Aso are truly too far and inconvenient to reach by public transport, so joining a day tour was absolutely worth it! Our guide, Ningning, was fantastic. She shared a lot about local customs and culture along the way, and her Japanese voice was lovely (we had a Japanese person in our group 😂). She has a cheerful and thoughtful personality, and she proactively offered to take photos for everyone at each stop. Her care truly made us feel at ease. What's more, we even ran into Ningning on her day off in Kumamoto city the next day, and she still remembered our family, which was incredibly touching 🥺. I heard the driver, who is currently learning Chinese, was also shy and cute. His safe driving ensured we had a smooth journey all the way 🫡. We visited Aso in March this time, just after the mountain burning, so the mountains here were yellow and black, which was quite unique. If you want to see lush green, I recommend coming in the summer! Unfortunately, Mount Aso was still closed due to a helicopter accident, so we could only view it from a distance. At the Takachiho train station and in the Takachiho shops, they sell local handmade cheese sandwich cookies (or perhaps steamed buns?). They are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, truly delicious, but when I brought them back to the hotel, the outer layer had softened, so they weren't as amazing as when I first ate them. I brought them back to Taiwan and revived them in an air fryer, which was also quite good (it's a shame their shelf life is so short). There's a delicious grilled horse meat shop in the Takachiho parking lot. If you want to try horse meat, this is a great place to start (the owner uses sashimi-grade meat). The Kusasenri souvenir shop sells tomato cola; those who like unique things definitely shouldn't miss it! This day tour experience was truly wonderful, and I will definitely join again in the future! Thank you, Guide Ningning, and thank you, Driver! 😍

It was incredibly rare that it started snowing right when we departed from Kumamoto ❄️. Although the beautiful Takachiho Gorge's trees are barer in winter, it possesses a different kind of beauty. Along the way, we sometimes had sunshine and sometimes heavy snow, which was truly a super special and unexpected bonus. Even though we couldn't go to the planned Aso Volcano due to heavy snow, our guide skillfully arranged other wonderful locations, allowing us to see the beautiful scenery of South Aso! We are very grateful to our guide, Jiang Cui, for her kind leadership and explanations, her enthusiastic help with taking photos, and her detailed answers to all our questions. She also greeted us warmly and bid us farewell, truly adding a lot of warmth to this trip. The Japanese driver also greeted us when we got on and off, being very polite. It was truly an unforgettable memory in the snow, leaving a lasting impression!

This was our first day trip in Japan! We toured Miyazaki's Takachiho Gorge, strolled through the forest, and marveled at the incredible craftsmanship of the volcanic gorge! Then, we opted to take a forest train, enjoying the beautiful countryside scenery along the way, including railways, tunnels, and gorge bridges, as well as the conductor's lovely bubble show – it was truly romantic! Afterwards, we arrived at Kusasenri, where we encountered a vast, snow-dusted grassland. We walked around, played in the snow, and savored the local specialties of horse meat and Akagyu beef. Finally, we had planned to witness the spectacular view of Mount Aso's crater, but it was closed due to an incident! A slight disappointment! Throughout the journey, our enthusiastic guide, Jiang Cui, provided detailed explanations and care, and even helped us take many beautiful photos, making our Kumamoto trip full of happy memories!

This was a wonderful day trip and we enjoyed it immensely. Our guide San San was great—funny, personable, and helpful. Mt. Aso and the gorge were amazing, the open-air train ride was great fun with amazing views, and overall, it was a fantastic day. One word of advice: prepare for all seasons on this trip! The gorge can be quite warm on a sunny day, especially on the hike back up. Likewise, the volcano is windy and freezing cold at the top—take a warm jacket! I would also suggest taking a face mask up there as there is some sulphur gas you will smell. This is not an area you could easily visit on your own; it would be difficult to arrange even with a car. The tour guide took care of everything, showing us where to go while allowing enough time to enjoy each area. We would highly recommend this tour. it’s an awesome place!

The itinerary was jam packed and well worth it. This is a hassle free option if you want to visit Takachiho Gorge and Mt. Aso without having to think of all the commute involved. Our tour guide was really helpful and thoughtful. We were a group of English speaking joiners but our Chinese/Japanese speaking tour guide made sure we understood the instructions for the group. I would recommend this tour.

Our tour guide, Midori, was incredibly dedicated, kind, and had an excellent attitude. She provided very detailed explanations throughout the entire trip. I had initially thought tour guides would be more serious, like the one I encountered on a KKlook tour in Fukuoka previously, so I feel very lucky to have had Midori this time. Not only did we successfully see the crater, but we also saw the lake scenery. Mount Takachiho was beautiful, and riding the small train was so much fun, especially with the bubbles! I'll definitely visit Mount Aso again in February when it snows, as I'd love to see a completely different snowy landscape.

The itinerary was very well-planned, and the tour guide was very kind and enthusiastic. Takachiho Gorge and Mount Aso are definitely worth seeing; the scenery is beautiful, and you can start enjoying it from the car. The guide told us interesting little details, such as the puddle at Kusasenri being a 30,000-year-old volcanic crater and where the Matcha Pudding Mountain is. The ice cream and coffee at Kusasenri were delicious and highly recommended, though the queue was long. Although the car broke down at the start, delaying the trip by an hour, the guide made up for it by arranging a large bus, giving out gifts, and even arranging a shuttle bus at the crater. Overall, I was very satisfied with this trip!
