From pickups to whole day trip and drop off, it is pretty straightforward and comfortable. I specially booked the first 3 rows front seats for my elderly parents. Both Gogoday mini van driver and tour guide Nanami are super friendly to me and my family! The driver was driving in fast and comfortable pace without wasting any time. My elderly parents were happy that they finally can understand, by listening to Nanami explaining the places in Nakadake, Kusasenri, Aso Shrine and Kurokawa Onsen, in their mother language. Thanks to Nanami’s recommendation too, we were able to buy the special souvenirs and yummy Aso milk and Aso ice cream! It was so coincidental that it is the uncle’s 86th bday when we visited his private garden on 16 May 2026!! Overall this day trip was really pleasant, THANK YOU!! Definitely recommend this!

It was such a great trip, with amazing arrangements made to accommodate the expected changes due to the Kumamoto earthquake a few days ago. Finally, head to Kusasenri (Crater Plaza) – Daikanbo – Kurokawa Onsen. Thanks to Lisa for taking such good care of my family. Her explanations of the sites were clear and easy to understand, in both English and Putonghua. I highly recommend this tour to any friends who are planning to visit Fukuoka.

This time, I booked the "Kumamoto Castle & Mount Aso & Kusasenri & Aso Shrine & Kurokawa Onsen" day tour through Klook, and the overall experience was fantastic! Itinerary: Being able to visit so many attractions in one day is truly great value, especially the magnificent scenery of Mount Aso and Kusasenri, which left a deep impression. The atmosphere at Kurokawa Onsen was also wonderful, making it a great place to relax. Convenience: For those who don't want to plan complicated transportation routes themselves, this type of day tour is very suitable. Having a dedicated shuttle service (including the volcano shuttle bus) saved a lot of commuting time, allowing us to focus more on enjoying the beautiful scenery. Summary: The guide/driver provided excellent service, and the pace of the tour was well-managed. This is a highly cost-effective option, recommended for travelers who want to experience the unique attractions of Kyushu in a short amount of time!

We had a wonderful day, everything worked out perfectly. Kumamoto Castle, one of Japan's three main castles and the site of the Samurai's last stand, was our first stop. Next up was Mount Aso, an active volcano. Our first attempt to ascend was prevented by high toxic gas levels. Our fantastic guide, Thomas, took us back down to the main station for a short lunch, and by the time we ascended again, the gas levels had dropped, and viewpoints B2, C1, and D were open. After this amazing experience, we then went to Mount Aso station for one last short stop before heading back to Fukuoka. All in all, I would highly recommend this tour. It was excellent value, and if you are lucky, you will get to see the power of nature. If you are really lucky, you will also get Thomas, our amazing multilingual guide, who shared so much knowledge and tips, plus kept us all safe – a real top guy.

It was hot, but the weather was so good that it made the experience even better. First of all, the melon ice cream and tomato cola recommended by the guide were so delicious! Climbing up to the Kusasenri Observatory was a bit tiring, but once you get up there, you can see the entire landscape, which was wonderful~ It was really cool and refreshing. Those who go, definitely climb up~ Although there were only a few Koreans and mostly people from other countries, everyone kept to the schedule well and we could rest comfortably on the bus, which was great. Definitely go on this tour. I recommend it!

I went on a tour with the adorable guide, Lee Hyang-yong. Honestly, when I first heard her name, I thought she was a tough man and looked for her everywhere when we gathered in the morning, but she turned out to be a cute female guide! If you're assigned Guide Lee Hyang-yong, don't wander around; just look for the petite and cute lady from GoGoday 😉 The tour group was about half Korean and half Chinese, and she communicated with us in both Korean and Chinese. She said she hadn't been learning Korean for long, but she's really good at it! 👍🏻 She's very passionate about taking photos and takes them with great enthusiasm. The distances between tourist spots meant some long travel times, but it was an even more enjoyable experience traveling with such a cute and cheerful guide. She also recommended great restaurants, so I recommend signing up early to get tips on good eateries and other useful information, rather than doing the bus tour later in your trip. If you want to see Japan's grand nature and Alps-like scenery, I recommend the Kumamoto and Mount Aso tour. 💟 Tips for Korean travelers 💟 My trip was in early October. It's still hot in the evenings, so pack short-sleeved shirts. A parasol and sunscreen are also essential. / Kumamon bread is like our Delimanjoo. It's cute and worth trying. If you like matcha, try the matcha ice cream. Even the 1% matcha I had was delicious. / Kumamoto Castle has wonderful scenery and is well-maintained. Don't save 800 yen; go see it while you're there. / The sulfur smell from Mount Aso volcano can be strong and irritate your throat and nose, so bring a mask. / The Akagyu-don at New Kusasenri restaurant in front of Kusasenri can have tough meat. Don't spend a lot on it; try other dishes that come out quickly. Since lunch is included, your time at Kusasenri might be limited. / The soft-serve ice cream at the Aso Milk shop in Kusasenri is smooth and highly recommended.

The day trip to Kumamoto Castle, Mount Aso, and Kusasenri from Fukuoka was a journey full of surprises. It was raining when we set off, but the rain stopped by the time we started sightseeing. The luckiest part was catching Mount Aso during a low activity period, allowing us to successfully reach the observation deck and see the white smoke rising from the crater, with the green lava looking incredibly beautiful. The black and white walls of Kumamoto Castle fully displayed its Sengoku period grandeur, and climbing it offered panoramic views of the city blending with the castle scenery. Kusasenri's green grasslands, with leisurely cows and horses, and the scent of fresh grass in the wind, instantly swept away all fatigue. Along the way, we also tried tomato cola and Aso milk; the former was sweet, sour, and refreshing, while the latter was rich and creamy, becoming a delightful culinary interlude during the trip. Our guide, Xiaodong, was diligent and responsible, providing excellent explanations, making the journey very enjoyable!

I think it would have been difficult to get to these places without renting a car, especially Aso-san. The scenery of Aso-san is exotic and overwhelming. It's not a landscape you can easily see anywhere. That alone made this tour worthwhile. Kumamoto Castle, to be honest, didn't particularly impress me. I felt that all Japanese castles are similar. This might be because I don't know much about their historical context, or perhaps it was due to the rain. This tour runs from about 8 AM to 6 PM, and about 5 hours of the 10-hour schedule is spent traveling by bus. Nevertheless, it was worth it.

今次獨遊完全無plan福岡行程，但見到klook有阿蘇火山、草千里、阿蘇神社、黑川溫泉一日遊，包導遊包車來回仲要價錢十分實惠！真係要join! 必須大讚鄭導遊！！ 普通話、韓文、日本都精通，對景點同好多背景都好熟悉，又講得好生動，令到成個旅程都好有趣歡樂！ 原來去得到睇阿蘇火山口仲需要啲運氣，因為係睇濃度而比唔比上啲觀望點，咁岩我地14/8果日黃燈 可以有兩個點睇到，最後黑川溫泉都好正！ 鄭導帶仲住成團三十幾人慢慢一間間問有幾多位可以比我地入 😆 很舒服的一日遊 完美地完結左最後一日既行程。

This tour itinerary surprised us by taking us to other interesting places for photos in addition to the basic itinerary. Our guide, Tan Yingying Helen, provided very detailed and attentive service. The most impressive thing was, firstly, even if it wasn't her direct responsibility, Helen actively helped me inquire about available hot spring facilities in Kurokawa Onsen and successfully found one, which was very thoughtful. She also recommended some snacks worth trying. Secondly, when we encountered a traffic jam a short distance from the Kusasenri scenic spot, Helen decisively chose to let us get off the bus and walk 5 minutes to the attraction, which not only avoided the traffic jam but also added a new walking experience. Overall, highly recommended!
