We enjoyed learning the respectful culture around a traditional tea ceremony. Her ability to teach us in Japanese and English was great for our group. We even got to experience whisking matcha ourselves. Highly recommend.

We loved the ceremonial aspect of this tea ceremony. It was beautiful to get a glimpse behind the curtain of true Japanese culture. The instructor is fantastic. We did a private tour, which I would recommend, complete with kimonos.

Very nice introduction to the way of tea. Lovely host, small group. We enjoyed it. the location near Kinkaku-ji is also very convenient. You can combine the two easily.

A calm, meditative introduction to the art of the Japanese tea ceremony. In addition to the tasting, there was also a short instruction for trying it out yourself, and all questions were answered.

The tea master was really knowledgeable. The experience was engaging and fun, while learning about history and etiquette of the tea ceremony.

This was an interesting experience, loved dressing up and being taken through the whole tea ceremony experience. Thoroughly enjoyed it, although my son was not a big fan of the taste. The location was easy to find and get to, close to other sightseeing opportunities, the instructor was very good, and gave us a real insight to the whole tea ceremony.
