Tour Privativo de Jeep Yogyakarta Merapi Kaliadem

Mount Merapi is definitely a must-visit attraction in Yogyakarta. Where else can you get close to an active volcano that had a small eruption just two months ago? We were taken within a 4km radius, but unfortunately, we couldn't see the summit due to the clouds. However, on the way there, we were able to see the entire volcano from the car. Our jeep driver, who also served as our guide, spoke good English and was able to explain everything. He was a local who lived within a 6km radius during the last major eruption in 2009/10. The jeep ride was an experience for my wife and kids. For the water ride through the riverbed, if you choose to do it, you must wear a raincoat. You will definitely get wet. We opted not to do it, as I believe even with a raincoat, we would still get soaked. Moreover, it was quite a dry riverbed, and when the jeep drove over it, it kicked up water and sand.

a little too expensive for a nearby destination from Yogja. Pick up was punctual but my driver still learning to speak English so we have minimal conversation. However, the jeep guide Fanny was amazing! He lent me his jacket when I forgot to take mine and it was quite cold in the morning, he didn’t drive fast so I won’t catch much wind and his command of English is so good that we held a decent conversation on hiking. The sunrise or Merepi didn’t happen cos we had a heavy fog but still we went ahead and I got to see some nice lava rocks along the way. Fanny took some nice photos with his jeep despite Merepi didn’t appear but no one to blame as it’s weather. He was detailed at the museum and didn’t rush through so i understand what happened over those volcano eruptions. Amazing guide I had and thank you Fanny.

Highly recommended to join the Private Jeep Tour Merapi in Yogyakarta. We were picked up at the train station upon arrival and dropped off at the hotel after the tour. Our drivers, Mr. Budi and Mr. Antoni, were very helpful and friendly. The tour went well despite the cloudy weather, so the mountain was not very visible. This jeep journey was very impressive; it would be a shame not to try it if you visit Yogya.

Amazing trip! The guide is also very good at photography, knowing the best photo spots and helping us take amazing photos. The jeep ride can be quite cold in the morning before sunrise. We enjoyed it a lot. Definitely a must-do activity in Jogja.

Pengalaman yang menyenangkan! Sopir datang sekitar pukul 15.45, lalu berkendara ke titik penjemputan dan berganti ke jip. Sopir jip membantu kami mengambil banyak foto yang bagus, secara keseluruhan sangat menyenangkan. Bawalah jaket karena pagi itu dingin! Sekitar 18 derajat di pagi hari. Tur berakhir sekitar pukul 10 lebih atau 11 pagi dan sopir mengantar kami ke restoran yang kami minta.

Aktivitas favorit selama perjalanan - pemandu jip kami, Fajar, sangat luar biasa. Kami memulai perjalanan pukul 5 pagi, cuaca sejuk dan kami beruntung memiliki langit cerah untuk melihat Gunung Merapi! Sangat indah, cinta pada pandangan pertama 🗻 Jika saya kembali ke sana lagi, pasti ingin mencoba tur jip matahari terbit! PS siapkan baju ganti atau jas hujan jika Anda ingin merasakan pengalaman basah di sungai!

Lufi, nuestro conductor, nos recogió a tiempo y su inglés era bastante fluido. Nos llevó temprano al Merapi Jeep y logramos ver el Monte Merapi en su estado más silenciosamente hermoso. Optamos por la Ruta Media, y nuestro conductor de Jeep fue muy enérgico, divertido y servicial. Lamentablemente, no supimos su nombre, ¡pero es el mejor! Nos tomó excelentes fotos y nos llevó al mejor lugar para tomar fotografías. También nos compartió que su familia solía vivir en el pueblo, que fue destruido por la erupción de 2010. ¡Somos muy afortunados de que lograra escapar con su familia antes de eso o no lo habríamos conocido! Sugiero optar por la ruta Larga para explorar más la zona, y el mejor momento para ir es por la mañana (optamos por una recogida a las 5 a.m.) para que el clima sea fresco y puedas ver el Monte Merapi mucho más claro (nos dijeron que suele estar bastante nublado por la tarde, así que la mañana es el mejor momento para ver la vista completa del volcán).

Our pickup time was 5am. Our driver was punctual and nice. It took around 40 mins to get there. The jeep tour was very informative and the tour guide is really good for taking pictures. We had really fun time there.

You can easily enjoy the magnificent nature of Mount Merapi. The museum, which utilizes a house damaged by the disaster, had exhibits that were vivid and deeply moving. It was very easy as transportation was included. The driver and guide were both kind, and I was able to enjoy it without stress. During the rainy season, even if it's not raining in the morning, clouds often appear in the afternoon and obscure the mountain, so an early start is recommended.

It was my first time doing either or both activities. Trying not to fall while walking on the slippery mud was quite interesting. Tubing on a current of water was quite fun. But apart from all this, Eza, our driver, was fun and friendly and always helpful. He said yes to everything we asked for. He even took us to the Kopi Luwak place even though that wasn’t on the itinerary.
