The tour was well worth the money, and our guide Gary was very professional. I booked a 1-day tour with Klook when I visited Osaka last winter, and the guide contacted me via WhatsApp beforehand. This time, no one contacted me in advance, which made me very anxious, but everything started very well when we arrived at the meeting point on time as booked. I had a wonderful trip with my husband and children, the lunch was delicious, and enjoying green tea was a lot of fun. You should book this tour if it's your first time visiting the destinations on the itinerary, so you don't have to worry about food or transportation.
Choosing to join a Klook tour for one day during my trip to Osaka was absolutely the best decision! Our guide, Nick, was humorous and engaging, and also very professional in explaining the history of Osaka and introducing the attractions. He even recommended his personal favorite spots at the end of the tour. My biggest concern during the trip was that buying Daruma dolls and making wishes at Katsuo-ji Temple would take too much time, preventing us from fully enjoying the park. However, Nick quickly taught us the fastest way to pray with the Daruma, making us feel like we had an accelerator. Even after exploring the entire Katsuo-ji Temple, we still had plenty of time to shop leisurely. This was my first time participating in a Klook day tour, and I had a fantastic impression. From now on, whenever I travel abroad, I'll set aside a few days for such activities! Thank you, Nick, for your hard work leading the tour. Your enthusiasm added so many wonderful memories to our trip! Thank you! Nick is so handsome! The travel company should give Nick a raise!
Nick was an amazing tour guide during this tour! He shared so much about not just the attractions we were visiting, he also taught us about Japanese culture and even some local greetings. The tour was really fun and a great way to visit many places in a day if your feet need a rest or you just want to cover more ground in a short period. Really recommended if you come to Osaka!
Overall it was such a great experience, the tour was smooth and very informative. The guide was very knowledgeable of the history. It was a good thing that the weather was super nice and breezy. Food was super recommendable especially for meat lovers! The beef just melts in your mouth!
My family and I, together with my wife and our 7 year old daughter, joined a wonderful day tour visiting Katsuoji Temple, Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, and the famous Kiyomizu-dera. The entire trip was well organized and very enjoyable for all of us. Each destination offered something special. Katsuoji Temple was peaceful and unique with its many Daruma dolls, Arashiyama Bamboo Grove was breathtaking, and Kiyomizu-dera was truly impressive with its beautiful views and historic atmosphere. What made the tour even more memorable was our guide, Nick. He was entertaining, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. Throughout the trip he shared interesting facts, stories, and historical insights about each location, making the journey both fun and educational. Overall, it was a fantastic experience for my family. Nick’s enthusiasm and guidance made the tour smooth, engaging, and very memorable. Highly recommended for families visiting Osaka and Kyoto.
The day started with a stunning visit to Katsuo-ji Temple, where adorable little Daruma dolls could be found all over the shrine. The maple leaves along the paths filled the mountains with the essence of autumn, a truly breathtaking sight! Upon entering the hot pot restaurant for lunch, we were greeted by the incredibly fragrant aroma of kombu broth, instantly whetting our appetites. The soup was delicious, and the wagyu beef was excellent. After lunch, we visited Tenryu-ji Temple, Togetsukyo Bridge, and the Bamboo Grove. However, due to the Golden Week holidays in Japan, there were too many people, so we couldn't see everything. We chose to focus on Tenryu-ji Temple, where the maple leaves along the roadside were also incredibly beautiful and perfect for photos. We even bought exclusive Tenryu-ji trading cards (which were exquisitely made). On our way back, we bought some delicious food recommended by our guide. Our final stop was Kiyomizu-dera Temple, where we were fortunate enough to see the beautifully illuminated streetscape in the evening – it was absolutely stunning!
Katsuoji-ji Temple is the best! Even the garden surrounding the temple is beautiful. It's a great place to include in your Osaka itinerary! I went there for lucky charms and to ask for blessings.
Gary, our tour guide, has exceptional language skills, speaking English, Mandarin, and Cantonese fluently. On the day of the tour, our group had travelers from various places such as Australia, Singapore, the Philippines, and Taiwan. To cater to the needs of different travelers, Gary introduced the history and culture of the attractions to us in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. As Gary is Japanese, he also specially explained the unique meaning of Katsuoji Temple in Japanese. He even led us to his personally recommended, most beautiful observation deck to admire the autumn leaves and helped us take many beautiful photos! I highly recommend everyone to join this tour!
Well Japan really is one of my favorite. So this is such a nice experience. Darumas are everywhere. The matcha whisking experience is a great add on. Would do it again!
I originally chose a one-day tour because I felt the journey was long. This itinerary seems to be new. Tour guide Xiao Liu was very dedicated, telling stories and origins before arriving at each location. My favorite part of the trip was Katsuoji Temple. When we first arrived, there weren't many people, so we could explore and take photos at our leisure. Lunch was also delicious; the soup base was really good, and the environment was very clean. In the afternoon, we went to Byodo-in Temple and Arashiyama. There are many stalls in Arashiyama where you can eat and shop. If you're hesitating about whether to join a tour, don't hesitate, just book it!
