Okinawa: Experiência de snorkeling de meio dia nas Ilhas Kerama (partida de Naha/traslado gratuito de locais designados)

I booked a Kerama Islands snorkeling plus sea turtle swimming package via Klook, with Miegusuku Port as the meeting point. I self drove so I did not use the provided pick up service, and parking at the port is chargeable. Check in started around 8.20am. Onboard, all equipment such as wetsuits, masks, fins, and life jackets were provided, along with a safety briefing and optional add ons like banana boat rides, jet ski activities, and GoPro rental. The boat reached the snorkeling site in about 20mins, where we entered the water in guided groups. After an initial session and a short break on the yacht with tea provided, participants split into different activity groups. The sea turtle experience involved a short banana boat ride to a nearby spot, where staff first checked for turtles before we snorkelled in the area, followed by additional free snorkeling nearby. We returned to the yacht around 11.00am and arrived back at port at about 11.50am, with equipment cleaned on board.

My first snorkeling experience in such a beautiful place! The staff provided excellent service; even though they were Japanese, there was no communication barrier. The boat safety instructions were available in Chinese, and everyone was very nice. It's a well-organized team. The sea water was crystal clear. You absolutely must choose the turtle swimming experience; the staff can guide you to a more distant spot. The main thing is that I really saw turtles swimming below! I was very lucky, and the good weather was a huge bonus. I hope to have the chance to come again. Next time, I'd like to put on an oxygen tank and dive down.

It was a bit confusing for the meeting point at the port since we arrived earlier at 8am. You need to wait near entrance of the parking lot for the staff to arrive around 8:15-8:20 with the boat and their blue NEWS shirt. Then, as we had booked parasailing, we had to leave with another company on another boat first. No toilet on this smaller boat, but they have a toilet on the bigger snorkeling boat. Once we were set, the experience for parasailing and snorkeling went smoothly. It was a great day with magnificent views over and undersea. The staff takes free photos with their phones/underwater camera for you. You can download them on their website afterwards which is a plus! Just be sure to have anti-nausea medication: the boat rides are very rough. We had no issue with safety. The snorkeling boat was well equipped.

GOOD experience! Would recommend staying at one of the hotels that have pick up services available, so it’s more convenient. Or you can probably drive to the port yourself too, there’s a huge carpark at the port. Staff are all very friendly and nice. Instructions were in Japanese, but you can easily follow by looking at their actions and what other people are doing. There’s quite a lot of time to snorkel as we didn’t sign up for any additional water activities. It was fun. We paid an additional 3300 yen to rent the GoPro and took a lot of photos and videos. There’s space onboard to change. There’s two toilets onboard too, and there is also a showering facility onboard but have to use the water sparingly so that everyone can shower. Bring motion sickness medicine if you get sea sick easily, as the waves can be quite choppy and I vomitted oops. Overall still a good experience and I would still go again!

Although the staff only spoke Japanese, it wasn't difficult to understand the snorkeling precautions through body language and printed multilingual instructions. The snorkeling equipment was of good quality and clean. The seawater was very blue, clear, and cool but not cold, with abundant marine life. It was a fantastic experience.

Tuvimos un fantástico viaje familiar (con nuestro hijo de 9 años) a las Islas Kerama hoy (25/9/18). La reserva fue sencilla, incluso con solo dos días de antelación. La tripulación estaba perfectamente preparada para nuestro hijo con equipo del tamaño correcto. La seguridad es su máxima prioridad: proporcionaron dispositivos de seguridad personal, tenían 5 instructores para grupos pequeños y un instructor siempre tenía una boya en el agua para apoyo. Nos sentimos completamente seguros. Vimos muchísimos peces y tomamos excelentes fotos. Hoy no vimos tortugas, pero aun así fue un día increíble gracias al personal extremadamente amable. Las instalaciones a bordo, como una ducha y agua gratis, fueron una gran ventaja. El personal fue extremadamente amable y profesional. No podemos recomendar este tour lo suficiente.

The water is deep, so there are limitations to what you can see with snorkeling. Still, it was a good experience. There isn't a separate time to change clothes after the activity, so you just pack up and change in the restroom. You can also disembark in your swimsuit. They take photos for you, but there isn't much to salvage, so bring your own equipment or rent some. You can also use additional activities on-site and pay after completing them. Experience: I didn't see any turtles. The guides don't point them out; you have to find them yourself. There were more fish where we went to look for turtles. It might be worth paying extra for. If you stray too far from the path, they'll call you back. Those who can't swim can hold onto a tube, and those who can swim can explore freely. Location: It's close. If you take motion sickness medication when you board the bus in Naha, 30 minutes is just right. It's quite bumpy and a long ride, so be sure to take it. Safety: You don't have to worry about safety; they take very good care of you. Instructors: The staff are bright and friendly. Equipment: It's a bit used. Since you're only using it for a short time, I just used it as is. There are snorkeling masks with prescription lenses, so you don't need to wear contacts. Anti-fog solution is also provided.

Everyone was very kind, starting from the pick-up service, and the explanations in various languages made us feel comfortable. However, it seemed they took more snorkeling photos if you participated in the activity, so it was a shame there were no underwater photos. Other than that, although the explanations were in Japanese, the signs also had English and Korean, which was very helpful. If you choose the turtle-watching option, you'll move to another spot by boat!

Absolutely amazing experience! The team took safety very seriously, which I really appreciated and made me feel comfortable throughout the tour. They guided us to the best snorkeling spots, and I was lucky enough to see three turtles, including one extra-large turtle, as well as plenty of other marine life. The guides were friendly, professional, and clearly knew the area well. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Okinawa. I’ll definitely be booking with the same team again when I return. Thank you so much for such a wonderful and memorable experience!

La excursión estuvo muy bien organizada, todo salió a tiempo y fue estructurado y claro. El barco era estable y tenía instalaciones adecuadas, los facilitadores son divertidos y experimentados para mantener a todos seguros. Se puede alquilar una Go Pro personal por un cargo adicional con fotos/videos ilimitados que se pueden obtener justo después de finalizar el viaje. Alternativamente, toman fotos de todo el grupo y de pequeños grupos al azar y las suben a su sitio web al final del día de forma gratuita. Hay otras actividades adicionales disponibles como complemento, con esta logramos avistar tortugas marinas. ¡Una gran experiencia y la recomendaría encarecidamente!
