Excursão a Pé de Meio Dia por Kyoto Gion Geisha e Maiko

A very beautiful and interesting experience, I can only recommend it. There were kimonos available even for slightly larger sizes, and the staff were very kind. Our group leader told us a lot about the history of Geishas/Geikos and showed us important buildings in the Gion district. The Maiko's performance was outstanding. Hearing the host mother's experiences was also very insightful. TOP!!! Many thanks for this experience.

Takuma was our tour guide on this experience. He was so informative and helpful. I think he did a great job answering all of the groups questions and with good detail. The owner and Maiko-San were both so friendly and wonderful. The women were both charismatic, who were thoughtful in their answers and stories. Thank you to Takuma and his female partner in answering our questions and introducing the tea house to us. Very informative and welcoming. Do this experience because it is one that is educational and charming.

An educational tour with a guide who helped take beautiful photos during the tour; it was possible to deepen one's experience and try on a traditional kimono; ask questions to the guide and Maiko, enjoy a walking tour of Kyoto's iconic places where geishas live and have lived. We even managed to meet a Maiko on the streets of Kyoto, which is a great rarity and stroke of luck.

I loved this day! I walked around and learned some new facts, then just watched the fan dance and the Q&A time afterward!

This was amazing. The kimono fitting was a little hectic, but don't feel pressured to wear traditional footwear if you don't want to. Our guide was great and gave us plenty of time for photos and questions. The Maiko was lovely to see and witness the efforts she had been putting in to perfect her craft. The tea house mother was very talkative and had a great sense of humor.

Our tour guide, Takuma Goda, made our Kyoto trip truly memorable and enjoyable. We learned a great deal about the traditional history of Geisha and Maiko. We explored two geisha districts and were fortunate enough to encounter a real geisha in person. We also visited a teahouse where we enjoyed a dance performance by a real maiko and her teacher, who played an authentic Japanese musical instrument. I highly recommend booking this trip to experience the true essence of Kyoto!

It was definitely a great experience. Our guide Mika brought a lot of knowledge and background. Hardly any question remained unanswered, and generally, a lot was shown, presented, and demonstrated. The conversation with the Maiko later was also very interesting. We were a small group, had a pleasant walk, and saw a lot.

The walking tour and Geisha show was excellent. Anna was our guide and I would highly recommend asking for her. She was very knowledgeable and her English was very good.
