Amazing trip to Katla Volcano Ice cave. The tour guide met us in the Vik Inn hotel lobby, which had toilet and coffee facilities, before the tour started. The tour guide was very professional, gave very clear explanations, and helped us take some nice photos. It is recommended to join this tour when visiting Vik.

Great experience! Our guide, Gabriel, was INCREDIBLE! So kind, helpful and informative. He was making sure to cater specifically to a couple people in our group that had some physical concerns including my wife who had a hip injury from many years back that created some personal apprehension. He made us all feel reassured and confident in completing the hike, yet we did not feel forced to continue or rush if we became uncomfortable. We would take plenty of breaks to admire the surroundings and thought it was a perfect pace. The only reason for some slight deductions is that the glacier is melting incredibly fast and many of the caves that were there just weeks ago are now unable to be explored or completely gone. It is the sad reality of these glaciers. While I cannot hold this against the tour directly, it does take a little away from the experience and limits the value of the tour just a bit. Also, important to note that this IS a glacier hike, not just a drive to a cave and back.
