Aventura na Caverna de Gelo Katla e Super Jeep

The driver is very passionate about his country and shares the history of each sight along the way to the activity, which was useful in helping us appreciate and understand. The off-road ride there is safe and not very bumpy, you can also see how skillful the driver is! The hike itself is OK, safe and not strenuous. The only disappointment is that we had expected the ice cave to be bigger and grander, and it is actually more like a “tunnel” that you can walk through in less than 5 minutes. Not the prettiest. The hike itself takes a longer time.

I went in March, but since glaciers can only be seen in limited areas of Iceland, I wouldn't have been able to see the ice caves or glaciers without joining this tour and being taken by jeep with a guide. I'm really glad I participated and saw such wonderful scenery. I was transported to Vik by a large bus, and we stopped at two waterfalls along the way. The driver's explanations about Iceland during the journey were also very interesting.

The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, which made the tour fun and insightful. We hiked the glacier and climbed it.

Amazing ice cave! I can't believe how beautiful it is! The glacier is incredible. It's a new and exciting experience to sit in a Jeep car!

After a 15-minute stop on the way to purchase lunch, we headed straight to Vik, then transferred to a Super Jeep for about half an hour to reach the glacier, where we put on crampons and helmets. We then walked for about 10-15 minutes to enter the ice cave. It was extremely cold due to heavy rain/snow. The ice cave isn't very large but it's beautiful and worth seeing. On the return journey, we stopped at two waterfalls before heading back to the city.

Great guided tour! This excursion featured a 1 hr car ride to the glacier, 15 min walk to the glacier itself, and roughly 30 mins of touring the cave. Please be mindful of the area and keep with your group since there are several other companies that share the same route and have the same orange helmet safety gear for its visitors. The meet up spot was with a car labeled artic adventure and check in was pretty easy and prompt!

We had opted for the combo package of Ice cave trek and Glacier hike offered by Artic Adventures and it was wonderful. The guide is very professional and sweet and will take you through. For both activities, they will provide you with crampons. For Glacier trek, ensure you have trekking shoes with ankle support. else, you can rent it from Artic Adventures. For advanture lovers, you can opt for Extreme Glacier hike. definitely recommend this activity.

One of our most memorable trips. Although the weather wasn't in our favor, it was a really good experience. Do dress warmly with a waterproof jacket, pants, and shoes for a better experience. The guide was superb too!

As there are no blue ice caves available in Iceland during autumn, we chose this tour. Although the price was a bit high, the ice cave experience was still worth it.
