Passeio de meio dia pela Cidade Proibida no Palácio Imperial de Pequim + Parque Jingshan

Our visit to the Forbidden City was truly unforgettable and absolutely worth it. The palace complex is enormous and filled with fascinating history, and having a guide made all the difference in understanding what we were seeing. I highly recommend this tour—especially with Peter—if you want to experience the Forbidden City on a deeper level rather than just walking through it.

The site is fabulous, you really don't know where to look first. The guide was in Chinese only, and led us through the main path to pass the gates and temples, providing us with information. The meeting point was poorly indicated (meeting at the east gate, but we had to enter there and walk 10 minutes to the south gate). The tour time is too short to see all the palaces: we preferred to stay on site and not go to Jinshan Park located opposite (but with definitive exit). There are parts of the Forbidden City that are paid if you wish to see them. In any case, it's magnificent and you shouldn't be afraid of crowds.

The pace of the tour was just right, not too rushed. The guide was also very knowledgeable about the place and very patient. It's a beautiful place, but the tour made it even more meaningful.

Bob gave an excellent tour of the Forbidden City, informative, engaging, and full of fascinating details. Although we spent some time waiting in the hot weather to buy tickets, his knowledge and energy made the visit thoroughly enjoyable.

Yesterday's Forbidden City and Jingshan tour was excellent. Despite the hot weather, Peter was very professional, always making sure we stayed in the shade during his explanations. His commentary was also very engaging; both children listened with great interest, and we learned many fascinating stories and anecdotes. It was a great experience, highly recommended to everyone! 👍

The tour will start after the guide has purchased the tickets, so around 30 minutes after the gathering time. Our guide Dean was giving information in both English and Chinese since there was a mix of tourists. The pace will be slightly fast around the different buildings, so if you are not as interested in the history and more in taking pictures, this tour is not suitable as not much time is allocated for that. The walk up to Jingshan Park to see the Forbidden City is just 10 minutes uphill; however, there are a lot of people, so it is also not a great spot for pictures as it gets crowded. The group size is around 25 people.

I received a WeChat message the day before regarding the meeting point and was instructed to look out for the Klook flag. While there was a hiccup in the ticketing process that prevented Bob (our initial guide) from entering the Forbidden City, we had Zhang as our replacement, and she was animated in recounting the historic moments of each place. She also ensured our well-being by giving us appropriate breaks from the intense heat, while keeping to the time limit. Bob then took over for the Jingshan Park portion and gave us a quick overview before letting us explore on our own. He was forthcoming in taking questions, and I got my answers about Beihai Park and famous Peking Duck restaurants.
