Our visit to the Forbidden City was truly unforgettable and absolutely worth it. The palace complex is enormous and filled with fascinating history, and having a guide made all the difference in understanding what we were seeing. I highly recommend this tour—especially with Peter—if you want to experience the Forbidden City on a deeper level rather than just walking through it.

Peter was absolutely wonderful! You can clearly tell he loves what he does and is so knowledgeable about everything! He is also patient in answering questions you may have about the sites! Just wonderful! 10/10 ☺️

I received a WeChat message the day before regarding the meeting point and was instructed to look out for the Klook flag. While there was a hiccup in the ticketing process that prevented Bob (our initial guide) from entering the Forbidden City, we had Zhang as our replacement, and she was animated in recounting the historic moments of each place. She also ensured our well-being by giving us appropriate breaks from the intense heat, while keeping to the time limit. Bob then took over for the Jingshan Park portion and gave us a quick overview before letting us explore on our own. He was forthcoming in taking questions, and I got my answers about Beihai Park and famous Peking Duck restaurants.

The guide can explain information about the Forbidden City very well in English, and will lead a tour of the palace's important points. Afterwards, the guide will take the tour group to Jingshan Park before they disperse. The guide will contact you one day in advance via WeChat.

Good explanation by the tour guide Donna, but it was a bit long with too much talking and not enough walking, especially with the hot sun on us. Many people mentioned that it would be better to just walk and explain, as the places are quite similar. It would be better to focus on the main points and complete the tour in 1 hour instead of 3 hours.

The tour guide provided an excellent explanation and allowed ample time for taking pictures. Their fluency in English and Mandarin was extremely helpful. The guide was polite and cheerful, unlike others who seem to rush just to complete their task.

Peter was our guide and we are so thankful for him. Thoughtful and accommodating, Peter gave an informative tour of the Forbidden City and Jingshan Park. 100% recommend.
