Partida de Nagoya: Excursão de um dia ao Castelo de Inuyama, Magome-juku e Tsumago-juku

A much more athletic visit than expected! 😂 If you have difficulty walking, I'll be honest, I advise against it, because the climb up Nakasendo is unforgiving, my legs still hurt! Otherwise, from Inuyama to Tsumago-juku, the landscapes are magnificent and breathtaking! If you are lucky enough to go in good weather, it will only be better. A truly fascinating and wonderful excursion!

Fortunately, the weather was great for an outing, and everyone gathered and departed quite punctually in the morning. Although tour guide Xiao Su's English might be a bit of a direct translation from Chinese, which could be difficult for Westerners to understand, his Chinese explanations were very clear, and he was enthusiastic and helpful, assisting with group photos and communicating with Japanese restaurants. Overall, it deserves a five-star rating. However, I suggest that before getting off the bus, the guide could remind each passenger of the meeting time again, or hold up a sign to indicate it, otherwise some people might still misunderstand. The driver also drove very comfortably, and I didn't feel dizzy, but since there's a 1-1.5 hour mountain road, it's recommended that those who are more sensitive take motion sickness medication beforehand.

This time, I spontaneously decided to join this tour, mainly because tomorrow I'll be visiting another key area, Tateyama Kurobe. Also, after my last trip to Nagoya, I missed out on famous spots like Inuyama Castle, Magome-juku, and Tsumago-juku. I had previously booked a similar local tour, but it was canceled due to insufficient participants. So, when the opportunity arose again this time, it felt natural to join. The guide was very competent in arranging all the attractions. An added surprise was that three out of our four groups (including mine) were from Hong Kong, which is quite rare.

Wonderful tour. Nancy was a lovely, professional and knowledgeable guide. Timing was good at each destination, everything was well organised and our driver was also lovely and got us safely there and back. Great value for money, this costs less than doing it yourself on public train/bus and is much more convenient. Highly recommend.

Our tour guide, Wang Huan, was not only highly professional and responsible but also incredibly passionate about their work. What surprised us most was that they were practically a walking encyclopedia of local cuisine, leading us away from tourist-trap queues to hidden gems known only to locals. Every bite was a delightful surprise, completely satisfying our taste buds! Furthermore, Wang Huan's photography skills were top-notch. They proactively helped us capture many stunning moments at various attractions. For those of us who aren't good at finding the right angles, these photos are truly precious. Having such an enthusiastic and multi-talented guide accompany us throughout the trip made it easy, enjoyable, and full of surprises. We wholeheartedly recommend them to everyone!

The scenery on this tour was beautiful, and it wasn't crowded, which I really liked. The tour guide and driver were also very nice. The soba noodle shop and strawberries recommended by the guide were delicious too 😋

Director Wu's sharing was very interesting and lively, and the recommended food was delicious. There was plenty of free time after getting off the bus, so even with four attractions, it wasn't too tiring. The scenery at the attractions was beautiful and pleasant, but some attractions had more slopes, so participants should take note.

If you don't have a car and like to explore, this one-day itinerary covers four tourist attractions, perfect for those who love scenic views. Inuyama Castle is a unique wooden castle, and the views from its top are absolutely stunning! The Ena Gorge Observatory is a transit point where you'll stop for a shorter period. The nostalgic Magome-juku and Tsumago-juku offer small shops and snacks to enjoy.

The tour guide was really great! Although the itinerary was a bit rushed, the places we visited were all beautiful, especially with the snow, which made it feel even more special. The timing was perfect.

We were very lucky to have Summer as our tour guide. She was incredibly attentive, meticulously introducing each attraction, including classic foods and key sights, ensuring we didn't miss anything worth experiencing. On the way back, she also provided detailed information about shops near Nagoya Station and carefully arranged the post-tour connections for everyone. When it rained heavily at one of the attractions, Summer actively coordinated with the company, the driver, and the tour participants, allowing us to complete our visit without any regrets. We were very happy to have such a thoughtful guide, which made for a wonderful trip.
