Very interesting place if you are interested in Japanese history. it is a little bit far out and you have to plan ahead for traveling. Quite a lot of walking is required in open space and can get quite hot on a sunny day. Do check the weather and dress accordingly before you go ease of booking on Klook:easy service:good

If you are a type of person who really appreciates the beautiful history of the old Japanese era, this is something highly recommended. Although pretty far from the city center, it is worth checking out. A gentle reminder, though, for a very long walk as this is an outdoor museum. I am glad I visited during the autumn season.

Meiji-mura is a charming historical theme park that not only perfectly preserves numerous Meiji-era buildings but also skillfully blends culture with natural landscapes. The buildings within the park are well-preserved with meticulous attention to detail, making visitors feel as if they have traveled back to the early days of Japan's modernization. Each building has its own historical story, offering enjoyment to visitors who appreciate architecture, history, or photography. Furthermore, the village offers rides on retro trams and steam locomotives, enriching the overall experience. The staff are friendly and happy to provide explanations, making it a cultural attraction well worth savoring and exploring at a leisurely pace.

The park is huge! I recommend buying tickets for all three modes of transportation within the park. We entered around 11 AM and stayed until closing, but still didn't have enough time to see some of the buildings in detail. Overall, it was very interesting, and there are many fun interactive activities in the park. For example, taking a photo with the police officer at the police box, and taking a photo with the steam train just as it emits steam (a thoughtful effect created by the staff)! I highly recommend that anyone visiting Nagoya should definitely take a stroll through Meiji-mura, even if just for exercise.

Meiji-mura is definitely worth a visit. After booking tickets on Klook, you can simply present the voucher at the entrance. An unlimited one-day ride pass can be purchased separately at the counter for just ¥1300, allowing you to ride the village buses, SL train, and subway as much as you like. Additionally, you can rent Meiji-era costumes at the "High Collar Costume Museum" (ハイカラ衣装館) for photos. When visiting different buildings, you can join sessions led by guides to gain a deeper understanding of the unique features of each building.

You can use the ticket purchased the day before. Just show the app screen at the entrance to the staff for verification, it's very convenient. The park is very large and beautiful. Unfortunately, the steam train was under maintenance that day, so we couldn't ride it. There are many classic buildings in the park, and the scenery is also very beautiful. We also saw many maple leaves. It's definitely worth spending a whole day walking around and exploring.
