Leaving the hustle and bustle of Bangkok for Kanchanaburi, the pace instantly slows down. This place not only boasts beautiful scenery but also carries a heavy historical memory.Walking on the Bridge over the River Kwai, watching the railway tracks extend into the distance, it's hard to imagine the arduous past it once bore. In the afternoon, taking a small train on the Death Railway, as the train slowly passes along the edge of a cliff, with a precipice on one side and a rushing river on the other, the intertwining visual shock and psychological awe create the most unforgettable moment of this journey.In the evening, returning to a floating house by the river, with the gently flowing water beneath your feet. There are no excessive neon lights, only the sounds of nature's insects and birds. Kanchanaburi's charm lies not in luxury, but in that authentic feeling that allows people to calm down and converse with time and space.

If you're looking for a "quick" day trip (traffic permitting), then one of these small bus tours is a fun option. They hit the main spots, provide transfers to each tourist location, and offer some interesting facts along the way, with quick photo opportunities and stop-offs. It's a great way to enjoy a stress-free tour for around $60, which is excellent value. One of the locations alone costs 500 baht (about $20) for entry, and that's all included in your tour price. Next time, I'll try the influencer tour; it was less crowded as we had a full bus for the standard tour. Tour pro tip: get to know your fellow passengers early, don't wait until 20 minutes before the tour ends.

A happy and fun day out joining this day tour. Cindy is our tour guide and she's a good and patient leader explaining the places in our itinerary. Boat and train rides were our favorite and skywalk is a good experience too. Lunch was delicious as recommended by Cindy. Driver is also friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed this day tour! The itinerary was well-paced, with enough time to explore each stop without feeling rushed. Our tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable and even helped us take some great photos along the way. The weather was incredibly hot, but the guide was very thoughtful and made sure we had plenty of opportunities to rest, grab cold drinks, and cool down. The free dessert was also a lovely surprise and definitely appreciated. Overall, it was a fun and well-organised tour. Highly recommended!

Kanchanaburi is a great place to visit. Our guide was excellent at explaining the history of the places we visited in English and Mandarin. The trip was well-planned, and everything went according to schedule.

Each attraction was a bit short but still good. The lunch spot was excellent, and Kanchanaburi is definitely worth exploring. I also want to commend the tour guide for being incredibly dedicated. He provided explanations in both Chinese and English, and he was very attentive to the group members. He only went to eat after everyone was seated and started their meals. His historical explanations were also very detailed. He was truly dedicated; he never introduced himself by name until the very end, or perhaps he did and I just didn't hear it. Despite the afternoon rain, he continued to serve everyone diligently. I hope the travel agency gives him a raise. I also want to praise the driver of our minivan 6058; he was very kind and polite. It turns out he speaks Chinese, and after each attraction, he would extend his hand to invite us back into the car. Super polite, and also deserves a raise. Thank you.

The tour is perfect for those who love history. The full day tour outside Bangkok is a nice change. I believe we were given enough time to roam the area and experience the laidback old life in Kanchanaburi. Our guide, Yimm, was so nice and full of energy. She was very accommodating and always thought of the most comfortable ways we'd enjoy the tour.
