If you're looking for a "quick" day trip (traffic permitting), then one of these small bus tours is a fun option. They hit the main spots, provide transfers to each tourist location, and offer some interesting facts along the way, with quick photo opportunities and stop-offs. It's a great way to enjoy a stress-free tour for around $60, which is excellent value. One of the locations alone costs 500 baht (about $20) for entry, and that's all included in your tour price. Next time, I'll try the influencer tour; it was less crowded as we had a full bus for the standard tour. Tour pro tip: get to know your fellow passengers early, don't wait until 20 minutes before the tour ends.
We really enjoyed this day tour! The itinerary was well-paced, with enough time to explore each stop without feeling rushed. Our tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable and even helped us take some great photos along the way. The weather was incredibly hot, but the guide was very thoughtful and made sure we had plenty of opportunities to rest, grab cold drinks, and cool down. The free dessert was also a lovely surprise and definitely appreciated. Overall, it was a fun and well-organised tour. Highly recommended!
Wonderful Kanchanaburi experience! The view from the skywalk, the boat ride along the historic River Kwai, and the train ride on the historic Death Railway were amazing! 😊 Our guide, Cindy, is an excellent tour guide. Thanks also to the tour driver. Definitely a recommended tour outside Bangkok!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a wonderful experience on this Kanchanaburi tour. The trip was well-organized, enjoyable, and filled with beautiful sights. Ms. Cindy was an excellent tour guide—she was kind, patient, and very understanding throughout the journey. She made everyone feel comfortable and ensured that the tour ran smoothly. Thank you, Ms. Cindy, for making this trip a memorable one. Highly recommended!
Cindy, thank you for guiding us through the Death Railway, Bridge on the River Kwai, and all the hidden gems along the way. Your energy and knowledge made the trip seamless and memorable. Highly recommended!
There's so much to see, and our local guide, Ms. Cindy, managed to fit everything in at a comfortable pace while sharing her extensive knowledge of the various attractions. She was patient and responsible. The driver was also efficient and safe. The entire day was pleasant and enjoyable.
Leaving the hustle and bustle of Bangkok for Kanchanaburi, the pace instantly slows down. This place not only boasts beautiful scenery but also carries a heavy historical memory.Walking on the Bridge over the River Kwai, watching the railway tracks extend into the distance, it's hard to imagine the arduous past it once bore. In the afternoon, taking a small train on the Death Railway, as the train slowly passes along the edge of a cliff, with a precipice on one side and a rushing river on the other, the intertwining visual shock and psychological awe create the most unforgettable moment of this journey. In the evening, returning to a floating house by the river, with the gently flowing water beneath your feet. There are no excessive neon lights, only the sounds of nature's insects and birds. Kanchanaburi's charm lies not in luxury, but in that authentic feeling that allows people to calm down and converse with time and space.
A team of six, led by tour guide Chris, completed the trip in a relaxed and enjoyable manner. 📍 Kanchanaburi Ancient City Wall Pakprak Heritage Street: Tour guide Chris provided very professional introductions and arrangements. 📍 Bridge over the River Kwai Exploring the Bridge over the River Kwai, built during World War II, was very meaningful. 📍 Keeree Mantra Restaurant 🍽️ A wonderful lunch enjoyed amidst natural scenery. 📍 Tham Krasae Death Railway Bridge Walk along the wooden railway bridge on the cliffside. 📍 Old Death Railway Station Death Railway train experience. 📍 Giant Raintree (Monkey Pod Tree) The Giant Raintree (Monkey Pod Tree) is truly enormous. 📍 Myna Cafe, Kanchanaburi ☕️ The perfect place to order a Thai drink 🍹 and gaze at the Tiger Temple, bringing a perfect end to this journey.
I had Alex as my tour guide. He was helpful and kept us all on schedule. I enjoyed the different modes of transportation. We rode the railroad, walked the railway tracks, took a boat across the town, and even got to visit the old town with WWII memorabilia. It's a fun tour. Definitely go.
This private tour is really worth it. You get to see the best of Kanchanaburi. We rode the train at the Death Railway and the boat on River Kwai. Our tour guide Miss Yimm was very knowledgeable and helpful. She helped us take pics and videos. She also asked where we wanted to be dropped off and we said One Bangkok instead of the hotel and it was all good.
