Tour requires a minimum of 6 participants to proceed. The meeting point was 10 minutes before departure (8 am), in a van (up to 10 people). Each person received a bottle of mineral water. The safari park includes a bus tour (with giraffe feeding from the bus) and both a crocodile show and an elephant show. We paid an additional 100 baht (2 bowls of carrots) to feed giraffes/deer/zebras during the bus tour, as well as 1000 baht per person for a giraffe encounter (take pictures with giraffes and zebras on a 4x4 vehicle), and 1000 baht per person to take a picture with a baby lion (alternatively, you can opt for 800 baht for a big lion). All extras can only be paid in cash at the entrance of Safari World. We loved the train ride (4 stops) on the Death Railway as it was scenic on a very old train. We walked along a small portion of the Death Railway to a cave, and then to the River Kwai. The fruits (pomelo) sold there were cheap and sweet. We had an early dinner at a cafe before heading back (arrived at CentralWorld around 8:30 pm).
I signed up for the join-in tour with my 4 year old son. A child seat was provided for us. Our van had 6 passengers and we had a tour guide, Roger, who would be a guide for 2 vans (Chinese speaking for van 1 and English speaking for van 2). Roger was a nice and caring guide who explained each activity in detail. He would go out of his way to make sure you get to do what you want to do at the Safari Park. The Giraffe Jeep photo-taking cost 1200 baht per person if you pre-booked it beforehand. Safari Park was quite an experience! My son enjoyed the part when Giraffes came into the bus to eat our carrots! We bought 4 buckets of carrots for 200 baht. When we were at the train track, I slipped on a rock and fell. Tour Guide Roger got me some plasters and told me that I could get some cleaning supplies at the next stop. I nodded but didn't think so much about it. To my surprise, when we were about to board the van to go back to BKK at the last stop, he passed me some plasters, alcohol and cotton wool! I felt really touched and thankful for his kindness. I 100% recommend this day tour to anyone visiting BKK! Personally, I feel that the itinerary was a bit packed for my 4 year old to handle, but for adults it would be perfectly fine! We departed at 08:10 am, and arrived back at BKK close to 9 pm. (Long hours might have been contributed by the aftermath of the earthquake). Thank you Roger, drivers and AKGOTOUR!
Overall a smooth and enjoyable trip for our family. ✅ Support team was friendly & responsive from booking to travel. 🚗 Driver Mr. Pong was punctual and polite, but not very interactive. 🦒 Safari Park & giraffe photo session were the highlights – glad we booked early! 🌉 River Kwai Bridge was peaceful and kid-friendly with flexible timing. ☕ After the Rain Cafe had a nice view, but staff were less friendly. 🍽️ Would love to see halal food stop options included in future. ⭐️ Rating: 4/5 – Worth it for families looking for a relaxing, animal-filled day outside Bangkok!
Totally recommend this day trip. It was a very long day, but absolutely worth the journey to see these amazing historic sights. Tour guide was very professional but a little hard to understand (no issue however). It was a small group travelling by mini van. Plenty of toilet and snack stops. The giraffes at the safari park was a real highlight along with the train ride on the death railway. Meet up point was easy to find, check in easy and tour arrived back about 8pm. Highly recommend this tour but be prepared for a long day.
This was the most costly Klook we booked for our Thailand trip, mainly because of how far the destination is from Bangkok. The safari was a unique experience—close encounters with animals you don’t usually see made it worthwhile! 🐘🦒 The itinerary was okay given the travel time, and the scenic train ride was definitely a highlight. Transfers were fast, probably to keep up with the schedule. Our tour guide was kind, though his accent was sometimes hard to understand, and it would’ve helped if he answered phone calls when someone got separated from the group. For the price, it felt a bit steep—especially since food wasn’t included. Maybe Klook can review their pricing to match the overall value. If you want convenience, a private tour is recommendable, especially due to the location. But if you’re okay with DIY, it can come out much cheaper!✌️ Still, it’s a day well spent with some unforgettable moments.😎
I’m very happy for the trip that I’ve booked. Our tour guide Roger is very friendly and helpful. Due to high demand, he needed to guide two vans, one for English-speaking and one for Chinese-speaking tourists. Overall, the trip was fantastic. I managed to walk with the tiger, and the safari park was loaded with wildlife. Last but not least, the AK Go Tour staff were also very friendly and responsive.
We had such a memorable experience at Kanchanaburi Safari Park! 🦒🐯🦓 Getting up close with the animals was definitely the highlight from feeding the tiger to our one on one encounter with the giraffes and zebras. The safari bus was also so much fun! Such a unique experience and definitely one of the highlights of our Kanchanaburi trip. ❤️🇹🇭
