Leopold Museum was great. Make sure you're well-rested. It's not incredibly vast, but because it's spread across multiple floors, two hours fly by. The Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna leaves a stronger impression with its interior architectural style than with its artworks. The building is incredibly beautiful. It's better to see the sculptures first and then the paintings. If you have the energy, looking closely at the sculptures is admirable, fun, interesting, and will make you smile. When you're tired, you can regain your energy with a renewed 'wow' from the paintings. It was nice that there was a Christmas market between the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna and the Natural History Museum Vienna when I visited in winter. If you're planning to travel mainly indoors (museums, opera, etc.), I think it's better to visit Austria in winter than in summer. Is it summer, which isn't humid or sweltering but is pure scorching sun with no shade, or winter, which is a bit cold but has Christmas markets? The choice is yours. But a visit to the Kunsthistorisches Museum is an absolute must! Highly recommended!!
You need to exchange your tickets at the Leopold Museum first, but it was fine to enter from either side. I visited the Kunsthistorisches Museum first and then the Leopold Museum the next day, and both were excellent. For the Kunsthistorisches Museum, I recommend purchasing and renting an audio guide separately. Japanese was also available.
I bought this ticket because I definitely wanted to visit both museums. It was wonderful. However, due to insufficient research, I wasn't able to see some of the main exhibits at the Kunsthistorisches Museum because they were part of a special exhibition. Even without that, I think it was great that I could visit during my short stay.
It was a smooth and amazing experience. The combined ticket is both cheaper and easier to navigate. I loved Klook!
The only drawback was that you had to enter the Leopold Museum first, then the Kunsthistorisches Museum (you need to get your ticket at the Leopold Museum and activate it there, so perhaps it's okay to just activate it and then go to the Kunsthistorisches Museum). However, the combo ticket was well worth it. The Kunsthistorisches Museum tends to be more crowded.
Two museums that are really worth visiting. I'm so happy I got a discounted combo ticket for the museums I wanted to see, and I could use it right after purchasing. Highly recommended! 👍
