I would suggest spending a whole day there, as the area is larger than the Forbidden City, especially if you enjoy gardens and boat rides. There's a 100-step temple where you can see the Thousand-Hand Guanyin statue. The view from up there is also spectacular and breathtaking. However, do not eat at the dessert shop "The Palace Story" along the Long Corridor, as it is expensive and the food portions are small. A further 200m walk will lead you to many food stalls offering more interesting and varied options, such as Peking Duck Roll/Wrap, Zhajiangmian (fried sauce noodles), Shaobing (sesame flatbread), and more.

We had a great long day at the Summer Palace. We got in just at 12pm and did not leave until around 7:30pm. The place is HUGE and is beautiful. This is my 2nd time visiting, first time in 2017 and did not explore much at all but was able to take it all in this time. Our tickets did not include the boat ride, we had to purchase separately but it was well worth it, saved us a lot of walking and was able to see the scenery from the lake. Our ticket allowed us entry to all the different sites which was an excellent purchase. Purchase was quick and ticket redemption was a breeze with just a QR code. One QR code for the whole group which was very convenient so we didn't have to scan each member individually. They also didn't have to inspect passports. Excellent deal, would definitely purchase again from Klook.

The Summer Palace was even more amazing than I expected! The place is absolutely huge and incredibly beautiful. Our guide, Wendi, was fantastic and made the experience even more enjoyable. We also took a boat ride, and it was definitely worth it—it gave us a wonderful view of the palace and its surroundings. I was absolutely knackered by the end, but it was worth every step to visit such a beautiful and historic place.

Walking around the palace grounds felt calming and enjoyable, especially with the fresh air and open space. The place is rich in history and culture, and every corner feels photo-worthy. It’s perfect for sightseeing, slow walks, and appreciating Beijing’s imperial past. Overall, the Summer Palace is a must-visit attraction in Beijing. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys nature, history, and scenic views.

The tour guide took great care of everyone, and each person felt like they received a one-on-one explanation. The storytelling was lively and engaging, not rigid at all. The route taken and the level of thoughtfulness were excellent. I highly recommend booking this tour when you visit Beijing. The Summer Palace is a must-see attraction.

Yine de biletlerim çalıştı ve Yazlık Saray'da harika zaman geçirdik! Kuzey girişinden başladık ve doğu kapısına daha yakın olan düz zemine ulaşmadan önce biraz yokuş yukarı yürümek zorunda kaldık. Parkta ayrıca her saray ve binanın çarpıcı manzaraları vardı! Yazlık Saray'a bir sonraki gezim için Klook'tan tekrar rezervasyon yapacağım!

I bought the admission ticket and boat tour. Susie contacted me one day before to meet at the Xinjian Gongmen gate. She guided us to the entrance and to take the boat. After taking the boat, we could go through the buildings in the Summer Palace and exit from the East Gate.

I was happy to visit the Summer Palace at a discounted price. If you book in advance on Klook, you can purchase an all-inclusive pass at a discounted rate. I highly recommend buying the all-inclusive pass if you're going individually. You can truly experience the beauty of the Summer Palace. Be sure to purchase the Korean audio guide and explore. What you see changes when you hear the explanations. I do not recommend a Korean guide. They only talk outside and do not enter the paid sections of the Summer Palace. If you're traveling individually, I recommend the all-inclusive admission ticket + Korean audio guide.

El Palacio de Verano (Yiheyuan) es un lugar increíble, pero debes estar preparado para caminar bastante porque toda la zona turística es enorme. Sin embargo, definitivamente vale la pena visitarlo, ya que cada rincón merece la pena. Dar un paseo en barco fue una experiencia muy agradable; me permitió contemplar todo el complejo desde la perspectiva del lago y admirar las vistas desde un ángulo completamente diferente. ¡Lo recomiendo mucho!

Booking tickets is very convenient; you can enter by scanning the barcode! It's important to note that some pavilions require an additional purchase, and you can't enter with just a basic ticket; you must buy a combo ticket! The overall user experience is 5 stars, but when we went on a summer Sunday, there were simply too many people! So many that the quality of the garden visit was somewhat diminished (though the landscape and scenery are excellent), but there were truly so many people, basically shoulder-to-shoulder, so the garden experience can only get 3 stars. Averaging it out, I'll give it 4 stars. Everyone should consider their travel time carefully before booking tickets, as the experience can vary greatly!
