I highly recommend renting and booking a dress here. The staff are friendly and made sure I wear the best one for myself. The whole experience included accessories, bag and shoes and they also offer free hairstyling. The shop was easy to find and they have a wide variety of costumes and dresses for rent. The shop is located on Dihua Street, about a 10-minute walk straight down Tacheng Street from Exit 3 of Beimen MRT Station. The store assistants will help you choose suitable cheongsams, and you can try them on at your leisure with no limit on the number of times. There are hair accessories, earrings, bags, fans, and shoes to match. I hadn't originally booked a photographer, but after seeing the complete outfit, I felt a strong need for a photoshoot to commemorate the experience. 😂

The staff were very kind and let me try on many outfits. The hair styling was also cute. This is one of the shops I would definitely recommend to anyone going to Taipei. Since you wear the rental shoes barefoot, I think it would be good for those who are concerned to bring thin socks.

It's recommended to go when the weather is cooler, so you won't be drenched in sweat during your street photoshoot. Cheongsam sizes for women are comprehensive, but if your size is on the larger or smaller side, there will be fewer pattern choices (S, M, L sizes will have more options). It's highly recommended to pair it with an updo; it makes a huge difference. For makeup, if you don't want it too heavy, you might consider doing it yourself. Accessories are complete, including shoes, hair accessories, clip-on earrings, clutches, and folding fans. The proprietress is very professional and will guide you on poses. Highly recommended!
