Jiufen is one of the best places to visit when you're in Taiwan. It reminds me of the Ghibli movie Spirited Away. Aside from the breathtaking mountain views, this place has a lot to offer, from food and souvenirs to clothes and much more. If you're a first-timer like me, I highly suggest you take a tour package. It's very convenient and saves a lot of money and time. Also, the vendors here are very generous; they will let you taste their food products for free. But sadly, we didn't have time to try the famous A-mei's Tea House due to lack of time.

When I first visited Jiufen Old Street, I saw others holding calligraphic lanterns with "Jiufen" written on them and felt it was very special. After searching online, I found out that they were sold on KLOOK and could be redeemed at the Jiufen Wuli Joint Office. There were four colors to choose from on-site, so I picked an orange lantern and prayed for my family's health and a year of peace and happiness. I also wrote my New Year's wishes on an ema (votive tablet) and hope they come true. The wall of blessings was covered with many people's ema, and combined with the surrounding lantern decorations, it was truly beautiful! Next time, I'd like to bring friends and visit again.

I found this cool experience online. Jiufen is crowded on weekends, and if you follow the crowd, you'll see the famous A-Mei Tea House. The redemption spot is right across from it. The lanterns are beautiful—I picked a blue one to wish for luck at work. It was such an unforgettable experience!

A place just opposite A-Mei Tea House. Unfortunately, the streets are really crowded but beautiful, and you can find some really nice views.

It was easy to find. The staff was very helpful and advised us to open and assemble the lantern at home, because it is really crowded.

The lantern we exchanged is absolutely beautiful! And I'm so happy I can take it home as a souvenir! Each color has a different wish associated with it, and the staff member was very kind and guided us through it. The prayer wall at the temple also had a wonderful atmosphere and was very moving. It was truly a fantastic experience! Every time I look at the lantern at home, I'll remember this wonderful trip to Taiwan!

Our Klook tour guide was not aware of where to avail this add-on. Fortunately, I was able to locate where we could use the voucher. The location is just a few steps from A-Mei Tea House.
