Avaliações
The trip is very worthwhile. The driver has been very careful to ensure that all persons got on the bus to and from the site. The guided tour was very informative. The site was spectacular, full of history and architecture.
The caves are an absolute delight to explore and are worth visiting. However, be prepared to descend many flights of steps deep underground. Also, you will be squeezed into a tiny lift to be brought back up to the surface. Overall, a very enjoyable experience but not recommended for anyone who does not like to climb stairs or is claustrophobic.
Our guide was Lucas. He was excellent. He picked us up from our hotel on time and as we drove to the mine, he gave us information about sites we passed on the way. The salt mine is totally amazing. We saw less than 1% of it and still took over 6,000 steps. The engineering feats over the centuries, combined with the amazing carvings in the salt, are a sight to behold. I unconditionally recommend visiting the salt mine.
It is an easy pick up by our local guide Piotr in a min van. They sent you a WhatsApp message a day before to remind you of the meeting place and the time. The journey from Krakow to the Salt mine is about 35 minutes. Piotr explained how to get into the English guided tour on our own and where to meet after the visiting. The salt mine is 135 meter deep and has two levels. Sculptures and church are amazing to see. Do keep in mind that the whole journey under ground in the salt mine takes about 2.5 hours. You will need to walk a lot. The temperature down is very comfortable, about 17 degrees.
The experience was interesting and unforgettable. I was astonished by the history of the place and how they developed the salt mine. Even though the tour took place 100m underground, I still felt safe. The tour guide explained everything well, and the tour transfer was very convenient. It was a well-organized tour, and I highly recommend it!
This is a highly recommended activity and definitely a value for your money. You can book with confidence. Tour guides are knowledgable and professional.
Highly recommended experience, though not for the claustrophobic! The ride from Krakow to the mine was only 20 minutes, so it's overpriced as you share it with other people.
The pick-up and drop-off were smooth. Two days before the tour, I received an SMS and email with the meeting point. The tour was a group tour with others, but it didn't affect the quality of the experience. The guide was very humorous. At the beginning, to enter the salt mine, you have to walk down 800 steps before the tour starts, and the total length is about 3 kilometers. Be prepared for a lot of walking. Several of the chambers were quite good. Overall, I recommend coming to see it.
You can use it the day after you buy it, which is very convenient. They will confirm via WhatsApp the night before you participate. The driver will text you the license plate number before arriving. When you get there, the driver will WhatsApp you the ticket, as it's very busy and you need to enter at your scheduled time. Once inside, there will be a guide from the museum itself to lead you, so when queuing, make sure to choose the correct language queue; there are several options like English, French, and Spanish.
