Our guide Scarlet for our cherry blossom boat ride was nothing short of magical. From the moment we stepped aboard, everything felt serene and thoughtfully arranged. As we glided along the water, we were surrounded by rows of delicate cherry blossoms in full bloom, their petals drifting gently like pink snow. The atmosphere was peaceful yet vibrant, making it the perfect way to experience the beauty of the season. The staff was warm and attentive, ensuring everyone felt comfortable while sharing interesting insights about the blossoms and the area. Timing was perfect, allowing us to enjoy the soft glow of the blossoms at their peak. It was a truly unforgettable experience—romantic, relaxing, and visually stunning. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy cherry blossom season in a unique and memorable way.
I joined the half-day morning tour on March 30th. Although the cherry blossoms were only half-open, I was still able to take beautiful photos both on the boat and along the shore. I'd also like to commend our tour guide that day, Mimi. Her first impression was excellent, full of smiles and energy. Our group included a Western couple, and Mimi's English was very good; she didn't just cater to the majority of guests who spoke Mandarin and neglect them. When our group of 20 walked on the streets, Mimi patiently repeated her explanations to guests at the front, middle, and back, which was very thoughtful. She truly deserves praise! 👍
The driver was quite nice. The journey wasn't too far, about an hour, and all the attractions were conveniently located nearby. There was also plenty of time, so I recommend it to those who want to take photos first. The Kaiseki cuisine was also good; the food was delicious and the portions were more generous than expected. The dishes were very elaborately prepared. If you have the budget, you can give it a try!
The highlight of the tour was watching the cherry blossoms in two different ways; walking along the waterways and from the Jikkokubune boat (a once in a lifetime experience). The tour was organized to allow guests the freedom to see the sights in the Fushimi. Because we started early it wasn’t as crowded and being a half-day tour allowed all of us to do other things. We had an intimate group (ten people that represented so many places in the world), that continued on with a mini-Kaiseki meal. The restaurant staff provided friendly service, a very delicious and so filling. We chose to tour the Gekkaikan Okura Sake Museum. It was one additional specialty in Kyoto. Doomo Arigatoo for a wonderful day🌸
I participated in today's Fushimi Jikkokubune cherry blossom viewing event. I joined because I couldn't make a reservation online beforehand, so I had to book this activity through the Klook platform. However, the entire event went smoothly, and the spectacular cherry blossoms along the way were unforgettable. I was the first guest to check in, and fortunately, my seat was in the front row, allowing me to enjoy the scenery on both banks without any obstruction. It was a truly memorable journey.
Our tour guide, Mimi, was incredibly responsible, waiting for us at the meeting point well in advance. Her explanations throughout the tour were vivid and detailed, and the route planning was very well-thought-out. She was especially attentive with meal arrangements, waiting until all our food was served and we had started eating before she left to have her own meal. She worked very hard! Five-star rating! We plan to take this route again next year and will recommend it to friends for future bookings.
The boat trip on the Jikkokubune was excellent because the tour company and guide had pre-arranged a boat for us, so our entire group didn't have to wait in a long queue. This allowed us to spend more time sightseeing and taking photos along the canal. The Kaiseki lunch was delicious. In the afternoon, we had free time to decide where we wanted to go. The Fushimi Inari Shrine itinerary is an option, but since there are often too many tourists, it might not be ideal; you could consider other itineraries.
The guide and driver were excellent. Although Uosaburo was closed on Tuesday, the alternative sushi restaurant was also very delicious. It's definitely worth visiting during the cherry blossom season.
The activity arrangements were excellent. The Jikkokubune boat was very beautiful, and the cherry blossom tunnel was stunning. If you don't book through a travel agency, you'll have to queue for a long time on the spot. The kaiseki restaurant is a century-old establishment, and both the ambiance and the food were good. Fushimi Inari Shrine was very crowded.
This one-day tour is more expensive, but it's worth it. The Jikkokubune boat ride only costs 1500 Yen per person if you buy tickets on-site, but the queue is very long, estimated to be several hours. However, by joining this tour, everything is pre-arranged, and you don't have to queue.
