Luxor Tour Review: After I booked the tour in Klook, Amwaj tour immediately sent me a message in whatsapp thanking me for booking. They also sent us a catalog of the other tours they offer that we can insert in the itinerary. In this case, we added the hot air balloon ride. Since we booked 2 tours with them, they offered us a free airport transfer going to our hotel. The driver picked us up in arrivals area with a clear sign of our names. Also, their car can be easily distinguished as the tour company name is printed on it. Mariam greeted us before we entered the car and thanked us for booking with them. During the drive, she offered us to tour around during the night but we politely refused as we were already exhausted from the flight coming to luxor. Unfortunately, we booked a bad hotel which was very hard to locate in the west side of luxor. So, we decided to book a new hotel and Mariam recommended us hotels with good prices and good location. We were very thankful for them coz we were already stressing out since we cannot find our hotel but she had grace under pressure and helped us until we got to our hotel. For the hot air balloon, they only accepted USD but since we cannot find one, they managed to find a way for us to pay in egyptian pounds. They were very helpful and they always catered to our needs. On the first day of the tour, the hot air balloon was cancelled for the day due to bad weather. It was decided by the government so we had no choice. We opted for a refund since the following day, our flight will be at 9:30am. Mariam however managed to convince us to try again the next morning before the flight. Good thing we listened coz finally, the hot air balloon ride pushed thru. The whole thing was only for an hour so we had enough time and they drove us to the airport after. we would have regretted it if we didnt try it so thank you so much Mariam for convincing us. On the day of the tour itself, our tour guide was Maret. The moment we entered the car, which was very recognizable, she immediately welcomed us to egypt, asked us if we felt okay and comfortable and started the tour. Maret expertly explained to us every back story of the places we were visiting. She was very detailed but in a way that it doesn’t overload us. She only gave us the important points which were very easy to understand. We did not have a hard time understanding. Everything she mentioned was new knowledge to us and we were just amazed. She also explained every important writings on the walls of the temple. She explained the statues and why it is the way it is. After the explanations of the temples, she gave us time to take pictures and videos. And then we meet her in a meeting spot after. So we had all the time we wanted and we were not rushed. We were able to get a good view of all the wonderful things we were seeing. It was a very hot and sunny day so Maret made sure to explain all the things under the shade. She tried her best to find a shade for us coz it was too hot for everyone to be under the sun for a long time. For the places where tour guides were not allowed, she made sure to brief us of the things we will see before entering. she had a photo album of the places we were about to see so when we actually see it in person, we knew the story behind it. After Valley of the Kings, we were already so tired and thought that we cannot finish the tour anymore. So we decided to skip the others coz it was very hot for us already. Instead, to make sure we didnt miss a thing, Maret explained to us the story behind it and showed us a picture instead. In this case, we will still learn and see the places we wanted to skip. Before going home, we wanted to go to a local coffee shop to relax and freshen up. Maret recommended a place with the view of the Luxor temple and it was very nice and relaxing. We got to chat with her and got to know here a lil bit. She also shared some stories about Egypt that we were interested in. Also, after our hot air balloon ride, the landing site was in front of the Colossi of Memnon (one of the places we skipped yesterday), so we managed to see it and take pictures of it. All in all, the tour was a success. It was very detailed. Maret was very knowledgeable. They took care of us from the moment we arrived Luxor until we left. Would definitely recommend this tour to others. 10/10.

Very satisfied. The guide explains everything in detail. However, there is no Korean. Still, if you can speak a little English, you'll have no problem understanding. The only downside is that they take you to a souvenir shop, but they don't say anything if you don't buy anything, and they tell you to buy if you want to.

The tour was great overall. Many temples and famous spots were included. However, the pace of the tour can be slightly slowed down. We set off at 7:30 in the morning and the trip basically ended before 3pm. The tour guide can slightly slow down or set a later starting time.

Our trip with just two people was truly wonderful! So efficient! Our guide, Maret, was fantastic!! She explained everything to us very carefully, helping us understand word by word, and we learned so much during our one-day tour! We gained a lot of insight into Egyptian history and culture! The weather was very hot and dry, and she thoughtfully prepared snacks and water for us, which we really appreciated!

We really enjoyed this trip, it was not possible without the best guide we had on this trip, and her name was Maryam Victor. She is the best guide to have for a Luxor tour. If you visit, meet her; she is very good and has excellent knowledge of history. Thank you, Klook, for making this trip perfect.
